April didn’t feel like one big moment across our homes, but lots of smaller ones and that’s what made it so special 💜

There were Easter crafts, feasts, time spent outside as the weather picked up, and plenty of conversations sparked along the way. We also took time to recognise Autism Acceptance Week and Parkinson’s Awareness Week, creating space to learn, reflect and support one another.

St George’s Day brought a bit of fun and familiarity too, with simple touches that made people smile 🏴

It’s these everyday moments that shape life in our homes, not just the celebrations, but the time spent together in between.

A big thank you, as always, to our teams for everything they do to make those moments happen

We marked World Heritage Day at Lynwood Care Centre with a lovely mix of creativity, conversation and a few fond trips down memory lane 💜

Our wonderful residents got stuck into a range of crafts, from soft watercolours to shaping air-dry clay. As we created our very own Stonehenge monument, we shared stories of places we’ve visited over the years. All of our favourite landmarks, the little details we remembered, and the feelings those places brought back. It was so special hearing those memories come to life again.

Moments like this remind us how powerful a simple activity can be in bringing people together and truly meant a lot to us all 💜

March has been a truly special month across our homes, filled with meaningful celebrations and shared experiences that have brought residents and teams together ✨

From raising awareness during Nutrition and Hydration Week to enjoying the energy and fun of St Patrick’s Day, there has been something for everyone to take part in. We also proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the inspiring women within our communities, and marked Mother’s Day with thoughtful moments of love, gratitude, and reflection 🌷 🚺 🍎 🍀

Life across our 46 homes is shaped by these moments, both big and small. They create a sense of belonging, spark conversation, and bring joy to everyday life, making each home a vibrant and supportive place to live 🏡💜

Behind every celebration is the dedication and care of our incredible teams, whose passion continues to create engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents 👏💜

One of the most loved features from The Amethyst Suite opening day was our rooftop garden which offers a peaceful, open space where residents can relax, enjoy fresh air and spend time together 💜

With comfortable seating and space for gardening activities, it’s a special place at Lynwood Care Centre that our residents can connect with nature and enjoy meaningful moments throughout the day 🪴

This Easter, our wonderful residents at Lynwood Care Centre celebrated with an egg-stra special twist 🐣💜

We cracked away from tradition and hatched a new idea…. Many of our residents can’t enjoy sweet treats, so we ensured that there was something for everyone. Some residents enjoyed delicious chocolate eggs while others received the gift of beautiful plants that will keep growing long after Easter is over 💐

It was a blooming marvellous Easter weekend with many special moments of springtime joy and lots of reasons to smile. No 'bunny' missed out and everyone enjoyed the easter celebration which was thoughtful, inclusive and full of new life.

We’re proud to introduce our newly opened Amethyst Suite at Lynwood Care Centre 💜

This dedicated dementia care space has been thoughtfully designed to create a calm, comfortable and truly homely environment for our residents.

The newly refurbished suite features spacious and well-appointed bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities and some with access to their own private balcony, offering lovely views and a quiet space to relax.

At the heart of the suite is a spacious social area, complete with a kitchen and dining space where our residents can spend time together, enjoy meals and take part in everyday activities.

One of the most special features is our rooftop garden, providing a peaceful outdoor space with stunning views which perfect for relaxing, socialising, or enjoying gardening activities.

Every detail has been carefully considered to 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and meaningful daily life, by creating a place where our residents can 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗲𝗱 and truly at home.

A very special moment from our Amethyst Suite opening at Lynwood Care Centre 💜

We were incredibly proud to see our wonderful Dawn Brown receive a Special Recognition Award, presented by the Mayor of Maidenhead and Windsor, Councillor Mandy Brar. It meant a lot to celebrate her dedication alongside our team, friends and members of our local community.

Dawn has been part of Lynwood Care Centre for 24 years, growing from a carer to Care Services Manager. Over the years, she has become so much more than her role. She is a source of support, encouragement and strength for both our wonderful residents and the team.

Described by colleagues as “the heart of Lynwood” and “the backbone of the home,” this recognition was a truly fitting tribute.

Thank you, Dawn, for everything you do 💜👏

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the official opening of Amethyst Suite at Lynwood Care Centre 💜

It was a truly special day, and we were delighted to welcome so many members of our local community to celebrate with us. We welcomed the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Councillor Mandy Brar, local professionals and friends of our home, which truly meant a great deal to share this milestone together.

A special thank you to our cellist, Miriam Lowbury, for the beautiful music, which created such a lovely atmosphere, and to The Little Flower Pot for the stunning floral arrangements 💐 presented to Councillor Brar, and to Dawn, our Care Services Manager who was recognised for her dedication and commitment to our home over the past 24 years!

Amethyst will offer compassionate and skilled in our beautifully refurbished suite, where our residents will also have access to our stunning rooftop dementia garden.

Moments like these remind us how important community is to everything we do, and we’re so grateful for the support.
