Unfortunately, the number of pupils being excluded from primary school is increasing. A high proportion of these children have Special Educational Needs and their needs have not been appropriately identified or met. At The Evolving Mind we emphasise the importance of early identification to ensure children and young people are supported to reach their full potential.

Mum Jo says Jacob is very caring but sensory issues led to him being excluded for disruptive behaviour.

🌟 Celebrating Our Exceptional Clinicians on International Men’s Day – Meet Olly and Ricardo 🌟

Today, on International Men’s Day, we want to take a moment to recognize and honour our wonderful male clinicians who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our clients.

We asked some of our team members at The Evolving Mind to share some words to describe Olly and RicardoπŸ’ πŸ‘‰ Swipe to see what they said! πŸ‘‰

In a field where empathy, dedication, and professionalism are key, Olly and Ricardo’s tireless commitment to paediatric healthcare is something we appreciate and celebrate. πŸ§‘β€πŸ§‘β€πŸ§’β€πŸ§’πŸ‘ Not only do they make a difference in the lives of our clients, but their enthusiasm, humour and kind-nature are something we all benefit from at the clinic.

As specialists in Educational Psychology and Speech and Language, we are thankful for the compassion and skill that our clinicians bring to their work, and we’re proud to have them as part of our team. πŸ’«

The wait for assessments for children who may have a neurodevelopmental condition is unacceptable according to the Children's Commissioner. This is leading to more and more children and young people not having their needs appropriately identified.

Here at The Evolving Mind we recognise the importance of understanding the support a child or young person needs at the earliest possible point. We are here to guide you through this journey.

Support services are failing to meet high demand, says the Children's Commissioner for England.

ADHD Awareness Month is here, and it's time to shed light on how ADHD may manifest differently in girls and boys.

While boys often show hyperactive-impulsive symptoms, girls tend to exhibit inattentive symptoms like daydreaming and shyness. These differences can lead to girls being overlooked and undiagnosed, impacting their self-esteem and mental health later down the line.

In children and young people, there are many signs of ADHD, and the most common ones can be found on our website: https://theevolvingmind.co.uk/services/

Don't hesitate to reach out today if you are concerned about your young person.
