This field will always mean so much to me.
Early labour had started⦠my waters were gently trickling⦠and instead of rushing anywhere, we headed here.
Just me, Stew, my dog, and Mason.
We walked.
We talked.
We paused through surges.
I moved my body freely, felt the sun on my skin, and allowed myself to stay in that calm, safe space for as long as I could.
No pressure.
No rushing.
Just trusting my body.
Iād always imagined thisā¦
that early labour could feel like this.
And I truly believe it helped me process everything that was happening - staying relaxed, feeling safe, and letting the oxytocin flow š
It was also the most special, quiet timeā¦
our last moments as a family of three before everything changed.
These are the moments I come back to.
