Welcome Jake Thompson to TLC 4 Smiles 🦷✨

We’re delighted to introduce Jake Thompson, who joins the TLC 4 Smiles team as part of some exciting new changes coming to the practice in 2026.

Jake qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Birmingham in 2017 and has continued to build on his skills and expertise. He became an Invisalign Go and Invisalign Go Plus provider in 2020, before completing the Invisalign 360 Development Programme in 2021.

With a particular interest in aesthetic dentistry, Jake takes a patient-focused approach, carefully balancing oral health with cosmetic outcomes to achieve the best possible results. He is also passionate about supporting nervous patients, helping them feel relaxed, reassured and confident throughout their dental care.

Jake’s arrival marks an important step in our plans for the future, as we continue to enhance the care, services and experience we offer our patients in 2026 and beyond.

Outside of the practice, Jake enjoys both playing and watching sport, especially rugby, football, skiing and golf.

We are excited to offer ICON a treatment used to reduce the appearance of White Spot Lesions

Icon can be used to treat white spots following the removal of braces and also fluorosis.

ICON is a procedure where we clean and prepare the tooth to get an ”infiltrate”. Basically we infuse the weak “white spots” with very fine tooth filling material. This absorbs into the chalky parts of the tooth and reinforces those areas, making them strong and they blend-in.

✅Aesthetics - this is beautiful! We only treated the front two teeth; the white spots are gone!
✅Strength - the porous/chalky areas that were weakened, have been fortified! Less chance for a cavity down the road.
✅Non-invasive - we are adding to the tooth, not reducing it. No drilling!
