🌪️You Time 🌪️

Does life feel like a constant whirlwind, with no time to pause?
Are you always the one looking after everyone else, juggling responsibilities, giving your energy, and putting your own needs last?

It's easy to get caught up in the rush and forget what it feels like to truly rest. But you deserve space to breathe, to slow down, and to reconnect with yourself.

Our retreats are designed to help you step away from the noise of everyday life and into a place of calm, clarity, and renewal. Give yourself permission to switch off, recharge, and come back feeling like you again.

We welcome everyone to our retreats without judgement. We are a friendly, family run C.I.C organisation who support women escaping domestic abuse. When you come to one of our retreats you're not only making a difference for yourself, but also somebody else.

🪾Breathe🪾

The blue sky really makes a difference! The air feels clearer and each breath I take feels deeper. I’ve often wondered how trees breathe so well without their leaves. Well, here’s how : without leaves, a tree is still alive and breathing,
• Through the bark (lenticels): Tree trunks and branches have tiny pores called lenticels. These allow oxygen in and carbon dioxide out, even in winter.
• Through roots: Roots also take in oxygen from the air spaces in the soil. This is essential for respiration (how the tree produces energy).
• Dormancy slows things down: In colder seasons, trees enter a kind of rest state. They’re not photosynthesising much (which requires leaves), but they’re still respiring at a lower rate.

So even when a tree looks still and inactive, it’s quietly “breathing” and staying alive, just much more slowly and efficiently.

This is a great reminder for us as humans that you don’t have to be at your “full bloom” to breathe well.

Well-being isn’t about constant productivity or always feeling your best. It’s about giving yourself permission to pause, reset, and exist without pressure. Some days are for growth, others are just for getting through, and both are valid.

Check in with yourself today, not who you think you should be, but who you actually are right now 💛

⏱️Choose wisely ⏱️

How many times have you wished you'd done that 'thing'?
This is your reminder that all we really have is now.
The past shapes us, the future inspires us, but today is where life actually happens.

Spend your time wisely.
Invest it in people who matter, moments that help you to grow, and things that bring you peace.
Because one day, today will be the memory you look back on, or the dream you wish you had lived.

Choose intentionally ✨ No regrets

🌿Slow Living🌿

Sometimes we just need a little reminder to step off the machine of life.

Go where the earth feels alive beneath your feet.
Let the wind untangle your thoughts.
Sit with the sunset a little longer and watch the sky change colour.
Create laughter with those you love.
Listen to the language of trees, water, and sky.

You don't need to find it, it's already there waiting for you 🌳

🌳Find your roots 🌳

Whenever I'm around trees I feel calm and grounded. The rustling leaves, the sound with the wind. It makes me feel so alive. They seem to hold a powerful yet silent strength. The way the light magically twinkles between the branches on a summers day. The energy emitting from the trunk, there is nothing else quite like it.🌳

I feel as though each season the tree has something different to offer, yet is always yielding energy.

There is also evidence that time spent in wooded environments can:
• Reduce cortisol levels (a stress hormone)
• Lower heart rate and blood pressure
• Improve mood and sense of vitality

Take a little walk in the woods and embrace the space that lets you breathe deeper, feel fuller, and grow freely.🌿

🤍consistency is key🤍

Your nervous system doesn't respond to perfection, it responds to patterns.

Through processes like neuroplasticity, the brain and body adapt based on repeated experiences. Consistent, safe inputs help regulate stress responses and build a sense of stability over time.

What matters most:
- repetition of calm, predictable habits
- environments that signal safety
- steady, manageable routines

Lasting regulation isn't created through intensity or "getting it right" once, it is shaped through consistency.

Tip: Try a 2-minute daily reset: slow your breathing (in for 4, out for 6) and bring your attention to one physical sensation (like your feet on the ground). Repeating this consistently helps signal safety to your body over time.

🌷Bloom where you are planted🌷

Today is the first day of spring! A fresh chapter with longer light, time to give you a little nudge to remind you to grow right where you are. You don't have to have it all figured out... just keep reaching towards the sun ☀️

New season, new energy, same roots, just stronger 🌿

🌿Relax 🌿

It's only 2 months until our Root & Restore Retreat. Now is the time to book yourself that special treat. Your body and mind will thank you later.

We often wait until we've reached burnout before we try and help ourselves. So this your gentle reminder to do something now. Of course we'd love you to attend one of our retreats, but you can help yourself in many other ways.

Take a little moment each day just for yourself. Have a soak in the bath with candles and soothing music. Sit with a warm drink and listen to the birds. Put your seat back in the car and feel the warmth from the sun through the windows (obviously not while driving!) or just sit in your favourite comfy clothes or PJ's and switch of from the world for a short time 🤍

Whatever you choose to do. Make it about YOU!
