Today I attended a fabulous chair yoga webinar with Richard Kravetz and Special Yoga and it really reinforced that yoga can be for everybody, regardless of age, ability, or circumstance.

I’m excited to continue building my toolkit so I can better support older adults, carers, disabled people, and those with additional needs, making my classes more inclusive, accessible, and supportive for all. Follow my page for more information on future inclusive and accessible Yoga classes for all.

Today is the first day of spring — one of my favourite times of year 🌿

I love this time when a bit of colour starts coming back into the gardens and everything feels like it’s slowly waking up again. It always feels like a bit of a reset.

For me, it’s also a reminder to check in with what I’ve been holding onto. I’ve realised there are a few limiting beliefs I’ve been carrying around for a while that have been keeping me stuck and holding me back — and this feels like the right time to start letting some of that go.

Nothing big or dramatic, just a small shift.

If you’re feeling it too, maybe take a moment today to notice what you’re ready to leave behind, and what you want to move towards instead.

Happy Friday and happy first official day of spring.

A little bit about me…

I realised recently that I don’t often share much about the person behind the yoga classes, so I thought I’d say a little hello for anyone who might be thinking about coming along.

I’m a British Wheel of Yoga teacher (one of the UK’s main yoga teaching qualifications) and I’m also Yin Yoga trained. This year I’m continuing my studies and training to become a Yoga Therapist, which focuses on supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing through the practices and philosophy of yoga.

My classes are always friendly, relaxed and welcoming. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced — yoga is simply about moving, breathing and taking a little time for yourself.

Alongside teaching yoga, I also have a background in coaching and wellbeing, and I’m trained as a Mental Health First Aider and First Aider, which helps me create a supportive and safe space for the people who come to class.

When I’m not teaching Yoga or Coaching I work part time in HR and in my spare time you’ll usually find me with my two favourite things — Alfie (my lovely cocker spaniel) and Ruby (my camper van). I love being outdoors walking Alfie, getting to the gym or swimming, or heading off somewhere for a little adventure in the van.

For those who like to know the training behind their teacher, my qualifications include:

• Level 4 Certificate in Teaching Yoga – British Wheel of Yoga
• 100-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training (Yoga Alliance) – India
• Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching – University of Chester & ICF Life Coach
• Grief Coaching Training – Barefoot Coaching
• Group Coaching Training – Barefoot Coaching
• Mental Health First Aider and First Aider
• YMCA Exercise to Music and Personal Training
• BA Hons in Sports and Leisure

If you’d like more information about my yoga classes or any of my other services, please drop me a message or give me a call.

🧘‍♀️ Beginner’s Yoga in Ashby – Start Your Yoga Journey with Confidence. Starting Tuesday 14th April at 6.30pm

Are you a complete beginner to yoga, or have you practised before but feel you’d benefit from slowing down and spending more time understanding each pose and the foundations of yoga?

If so, my new Tuesday evening class at 6pm in Ashby could be perfect for you.

This class focuses on learning the basics, improving confidence in each pose, and developing a deeper understanding of your practice in a supportive, relaxed environment.

The class will initially run for 6-weeks (you don’t have to commit to every week) . You can either book all 6 weeks in advance or pay week by week.

If there’s enough interest, the class will continue beyond the initial 6 weeks.

✨ **Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to return to the foundations of yoga.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga for complete beginners 🧘‍♀️

Curious about yoga but not sure where to start? This class is the perfect introduction.

Designed for absolute beginners, those who haven’t practised yoga in a while, anyone who prefers a slower, more mindful practice, and also those returning after injury or managing medical conditions who may need extra care and modifications.

Each session focuses on:

✨ Learning the foundations of yoga
✨ Moving at a gentle, steady pace
✨ Breaking down each pose so you can build confidence and strength safely
✨ Improving flexibility, balance and relaxation

Class sizes will be smaller and places are limited. This allows me to spend more time helping with alignment and offering modifications to suit your body, injuries, or medical needs.

There’s no pressure to be flexible or experienced — just come as you are. This is a supportive space to reconnect with your body, breathe, and enjoy moving at a pace that feels good.

🌿 Small steps, steady progress, and a calmer mind.

📅 Starts: Tuesday 14th April (6 weeks initially)
🕰️ 6pm-7pm
💰£45 for 6 week block or £8 per class
📍 Location: The Pavilion, Range Road, Ashby de la Zouch, LE65 1EB
