Client Review ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Last year a dad approached about his concerns regarding his very anxious and sensory over-responder going into secondary school. We met with his son and spoke to his teachers and parents to build a picture of strengths and weaknesses. We then pulled together a report detailing what we felt he needed to make secondary school a success 🚀 we made a plan for those around him to follow which they executed perfectly 🎯 recently we checked in to see how his first year has gone and so glad to hear him doing well. He has made friends, playing for a football team and mostly enjoying school. 🙌

If you have concerns about your child’s transitions into secondary or primary school we are here to help. Either DM or Email to book in a free callback about what we can offer to support you and your child.

We are experienced Occupational Therapists with over 10 years experience working with children and young people with Neurodiversity and physical disabilities’s.

Client Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always feel so grateful when a client leaves a review. Especially when it is as lovely as this one. Finding out that our help and support is appreciated means the world to us. Obviously with every business there are things we can work on and are always learning and improving our practice.

We have noticed a significant increase in Children with SEN in mainstream schools a realise the pressures this is having on school staff, parents and the children. It’s a pleasure to support in what ever way we can. This could be staff training, 1-1 assessments with reports and/or programmes or individual or group therapy sessions.

If you want to find out more about how we could help your child or school then please DM or email info@therapybus.co.uk

We recently sent out some customer feedback forms to the Schools we have contracts with. We were overwhelmed to hear that our Schools are happy with our service and want to continue working with us. We know how tough it is out there for schools, with constant budget cuts and increasing demand for services.

We are delighted to hear feedback back like this and would love to expand our business to other Schools in Kent. If you are a school SENCO or Headteacher wanting to know more about how our service can support you school then please DM or email info@therapybus.co.uk

This is why we do our job.

Back in May we were approached by a mum worried about her son’s transition into secondary school. With no formal diagnosis or support plan in place they were struggling. Often coming home to melt down’s caused by low self esteem and confidence. He had a number of sensory issues like being overly tactile to his school uniform and hyper sensitive to noise. His processing speed was slow due to overthinking and had difficulties with coordination impacting handwriting. His handwriting speed was so slow he often could not get all his thoughts down on paper.

Emma visited this young man in school and found a very imaginative and bright young man. He was willing to go through the assessment process and enjoyed the activities set out for him to complete. Although he found things challenging this helped Emma build a report that was personable and informative in identifying difficulties and how to overcome these challenges.

School were absolutely brilliant in taking on the advice. Mum shared with us that her son was given the support recommended in the report and said that he finished school happy and excited about going into secondary. His final exams went very well and went from consistently scoring below average to scoring within average.

We are super proud of what this family have achieved in such a short turn around.

If your child has difficulties in school due to sensory processing difficulties, handwriting difficulties or something else visit our website to see how we can help. Or feel free to DM us.

Today is world water day! 🌍 💧

Let’s all just take a minute to appreciate the power of water! Water is one of if not the most important resources on this planet. I plays a key role in our body’s functioning, including bringing nutrients to our cells, getting rid of waste, protecting joints and organs and maintaining body temperature. Did you know the general consensus amongst scientists is that humans can only survive around 3 days without water!

Humans are not the only ones who rely on water of course all living things need water to survive and grow. It something I think a lot of us take for granted we turn a tap and wow fresh clean water comes out! But according to almost one in ten people in the world which equates to 703 million people don’t have access to clean fresh water!

Do you know the recommended amount of water for yourself and your children?

- 4 to 8 years olds should be drinking 5 cups of water a day.
- 9 to 13 year olds should drink 5-6 cups of water a day
- 14 to 18 year old should drink 6-8 cups of water a day

As adults we should be drinking around 2 litres per day.

Happy world water day everyone and remember to stay hydrated!

Today is World Down Syndrome Day! Having worked with many children, young people and adults with Down Syndrome I can say how truly inspiring people with Down Syndrome are.

There is often stigma and a perception around people with down syndrome and learning disabilities in general that they can’t do this or can’t do that and I have seen adults with down Syndrome spoken to like babies. Before my education and experience my perception was similar due to my ignorance from the media I consumed.

But having Down syndrome doesn’t stop them from doing what they love or what they want to do. They have the same wants and needs as everyone else. They work, go to college, drive cars, own businesses and do so many amazing things day to day.

Thank you to all those I have worked with that have helped changed my perception and inspired me over the years!
