Alcohol, ci******es, red meat, processed foods, illicit drugs, lack of exercise, poor sleep, age and obesity are all major causes and factors of sickness, especially cancer. Many of us need to stop, take stock of our lives, and bring in major changes, especially if we want to live. Our health is so important and linked intrinsically with wellbeing.
In the last 12 months I have made major changes to my life, I am better off for it. I now eat fruits, grains, nuts, vegetables and legumes. Added sugar is gone and my salt intake is back to whatever is naturally in the food. Water is my beverage of choice. I am not a fanatic. Even now my health is no guarantee. But I feel better, and the chances of a brighter future have drastically improved. My health journey is far from complete. I still have 30 kgs to lose - I have lost 25. But I am determined to learn more and do more.
How is your health? Like me, do you need to make changes too? May God give you the wisdom, the courage, and fortitude to change. You will always be better off.
