Alzheimers is a cruel disease that robs individuals of their identities and independence and steals priceless connections and memories between family members. It's heart breaking for both the individual and their families to witness. Behind every Alzheimers case there is an army of care givers.

Fundraising for Alzhemiers Research UK helps to provide essential resources, training programmes and respite services for individuals selflessly caring for loved ones with Alzhemiers.

Our team (Hunta Hero's) includes those who have directly had to face the challenging and devastating effect of their loved ones suffering with Alzheimers.

Any amount you can sponsor us will go directly to helping other families who are fighting this battle and hopefully get us closer to, one day, finding a cure.

Thank you.

Are you up for ‘The Big Biddenden Spring Clean’ on Sunday 24th April? ♻️

The Bakehouse Cafè & Biddenden Family Chiropractic Clinic have teamed up to organise a grand tidy up of our beautiful village.
We need as many energetic volunteers as possible!

Our plan of action…..

Meet at The Bakehouse at 10am to collect your hi-vis jackets, litter pickers & black sacks kindly supplied by Ashford Borough Council.

We will hand you a map with your route that we have planned for you. (If you would like a particular route please let us know)
Bring along a pencil ✏️ so you can mark on your map where you have safely left full rubbish sacks.

When you have finished your area, head back to The Bakehouse to hand back your litter pickers, etc…. & enjoy a lovely cup of tea and one of our very popular hot X buns. 😋

We will then head out with our van to collect all the rubbish bags. 🚚
If you do have space in your own bins that would be a big help. 🚮

If you’re up for this fun challenge please let us know how many of you will be joining us asap by replying to this post or sending us a private message.

Please spread the word around the village as lots of people will not see this on social media. ♻️

Phoenix and our children are complaining! A complete lack of Biddenden Walking Rural walks! They're absolutely right! Silly Covid.

May (not as in the month) 2021 bring us back together on those glorious walks around the wood.

We haven't forgotten.

👋Dear patients and friends,

Hopefully all of you and your family members are safe and healthy. During these surreal times it is important we focus on the things we can control, rather than get frustrated and anxious on factors out of our control.

🤷‍♂️What can we control?

How we eat, sleep, move and treat each other and ourselves.

Those things are vitally important in staying healthy and sane!

Usually we love to talk about all sorts of subjects during the treatments with you. Not only about another Tottenham or Arsenal defeat, Brexit or new Netflix series, but also about how we can improve our health and feeling of vitality!

We can't treat you over the we**am, but we can talk about health. So we will!

For the next 3 Wednesdays Tom is doing a live Facebook video (like the rest of the world 😁) on topics that might interest you.

Feel free to tune in and invite your family members!

Love,

Team Biddenden Family Chiropractic

EDIT: This walk is for after the Corona Saga.

😷We can't walk together, but you can still go on a hunt with your own children!

🕵️‍♀️This magic Stone hunt is not easy! Will you find all the stones and tell us the answer to the riddle?

🧐If so, you get an awesome Marvel sticker!!!

🎃 Halloween - Treasure - Hunt - Walk

🎃 Hemsted Forest - 27th October - 10:00

🎃 Meet at big car park on Goddards Green Road.

🎃 Do you dare to find and open the treasure chest? Bring your children and rediscover co-sleeping after them being terrified.

🎃 As always, the aim of the walk is for people to find some natural therapy in the forests or fields. Physical activity and social health/interaction are huge pillars of your health and too often overlooked.

🎃 The walk will be muddy and 5.6km/3.5miles. Please bring wellies and child carriers or all terrain buggies. Doggies welcome.

🎃 Our walks are and will always be free. Although this time I might ask for a voluntary contribution to the NSPCC charity for which I am running the London Marathon next year. There will be a collection box on Sunday, alternatively you can have a look here: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/TomClaykens Many thanks.

🎃 We hope to see you all in the scary forest this Sunday!

Dear Walkers🚶‍♀️,

🌪It seems that storm Erik left for Belgium and we can enjoy a safe walk.

🅿️I have heard late last night there is a charity walk today at 10:00 so perhaps leave 5 minutes earlier than planned to have easier parking (see image below).

⚠️Please be prepared for mud! No obstacles or gates, but plenty of puddles. Yeah 🐷

See you later

Tom invited Santa for some Belgian beers and Santa got a bit tipsy. He accidentally dropped some presents in Hemsted Forest! Who wants to join us for a real treasure hunt? A map for the kids will be provided to help them find the gifts.

Please comment if you are joining, including the name and age of the kids so that Santa knows what and how much to drop in the forest!

We meet at the main car park of Hemsted Forest on Goddard's Green Road and will start the walk and search at 10:00 prompt.

The route will be around 3.5miles and mostly on gravel without any gates or obstacles. Depending the weather, it might get muddy. Update closer to the time.
