A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, Ashford, is closed for emergency repair works, as traffic is diverted through the town centre.

Drivers are facing town centre gridlock this morning after a busy dual carriageway route was closed for emergency works.

The northbound section of A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road near Orbital Park and the Finberry estate in Ashford is shut between A2042 and M20.

Your posture might be sabotaging your recovery 👀

A 2025 multi-centre study published in Scientific Reports found that forward head posture (FHP) significantly reduces recovery outcomes in people with chronic neck pain.

Researchers followed 86 patients over 8 weeks and found:
• Every increase in forward head position reduced the odds of recovery by ~13%
• Posture was one of the strongest predictors of treatment success
• Poor alignment impacted not just pain—but fatigue, distress, and daily function

Even with good treatment, unaddressed posture limited results across all outcomes.

👉 Translation: If you’re only treating symptoms—but not alignment—you may be missing a key piece of the puzzle.

⛔️Gas works close New Street from today.

SGN are replacing old metal pipes in the A292 New Street area.

Work will start on Tuesday 7th April and be carried out in phases to help minimise disruption. The project is expected to last approximately eight weeks.

Phase one will see New Street closed to southbound motorists. A signed diversion route will be in place for affected road users.

Public access to the Barnardo's, Farm Foods and The Gym Group car park will be unavailable.

Customers can access the Lidl car park via the signed diversion route.

Phase two will be starting on Tuesday 5th May.

In phase 2, A292 New Street will be closed to southbound motorists between the Barnardo's car park and Somerset Road
Somerset Road will be closed to motorists in both directions near to its junction with A292 New Street
