This seemingly minimal micro dose movement class this week has generated many complaints.
We know it's a good un if you can feel it deeply without seemingly doing much!

Last weeks lateral/cross legged/twist play. With an exploration of circulation and vyana vayu.
Notice how I had my blocks but failed to use them.
I couldn't be bothered to do a second take!

Full class on the group in Facebook.

A little ramble!
How's your yoga practice? How has it changed?
What's your why?
And yes. It's just a fu***ng handstand.

Bit of headstand play this week. Here's what we did.

I absolutely hate anything shoulder standy or halasana-y.. It just feels horrific to me. Maybe it's my short neck and spine or my abnormally large butt. Who knows. So today, i thought I'd deeply enquire as to why.
What was uncomfortable, was it just the chatter of my mind, stuck in a repetitive pattern? Was it old stories, was it the props, what I'd done just before, etc. When I was in it, I really observed and listened. Was the discomfort body or mind, what was the resistance.
After, how did I feel now, what sensations were left in my body, what did it free up, how did I feel energetically, etc.
Conclusion?
Still felt like s**t and no, I still don't like it.
You can't win em all!

My magnolia is looking so glorious that it deserves a space on the grid.
Spring and blossom fill me with more joy than anything else!
They really are nature's expression of hope.
Today really feels as though, finally, blue skies and better days are on their way.
Get out in that sunshine and recharge your batteries.

We've only seen the sun a few times this year in the UK. Endless dull grey can't help but make us feel flat and miserable.
The older I get, the deeper I go into yoga, and the more life I have the privilege of living, the more I realise nature is the answer. To almost every problem. The other answer is your people.
We need to remember who we are and maybe even why we are here. (I've still absolutely no idea what the answer is to these BTW.)

I'd like the sun back now, please.

Sunday yoga is always horribly honest.
A reaffirmation of why I practice....to try not be a c**t. To know myself better, to do better, to use my energy for better.
I'm pretty sure the world is telling us in its most shouty voice that the women need to step up now. The mothers, the healers, the wise ones.
Find your practice, know your s**t bits, and let's do better.

80s Power Ballad week for valentines day is one of my favourites. This years crew nailed it. Laughter community and joy is what we are all about. And Bonnie Tyler obvs.
Thank you all for the most joy this week!
Exceeded expectations as always.

After some months of shoulder buggery, we are looking at some stability stuff this week.
Everyone has been surprised by how capable they were. No surprise to be as you're all absolutely awesome!
See you on the mat, you beautiful light beings.

Also, there are a few spaces in womb healing this Sunday if you want to be gonged.
