Here's a selection of sunrises just this week.

We've been bombarded with grey skies, misery, negativity, division tactics, and hatred. I don't know many people who are unmedicated or have some sort of physical or mental issue. No, it's not always our fault, but so many of us are doing things that don't help.

It's so easy to be dragged down and worry about things your brain isn't meant to process.

What's the first step back to yourself?

Honestly-nature. Science is finally catching up with what humans have known since the dawn of time. The sun is the key to health, happiness, and longevity. We are so out of sync with what we actually need now.

I live in dodgy slightly run down Ashford, but this is 15 mins away.
There's beauty everywhere if you go and look.

People desperately need nature, family, friendship, love, connection, community, joy, movement, music, and creativity.

Little glimmers need to be sought every day.

Things that help to connect us, bring us back to nature, to each other.

That's the real yoga, peeps.

If we are lucky, we get on average 25,915 sunrises in our lives. How many have you seen? How many have we got left?

Every day, I do a minimum of 5 joyful things. I believe that should be standard.

Anyway. There's my Sunday ramblings!

Freddie couldn't give 2 beans about my apparent yogic gymnastics. And she's right, not too.
The expression of challenge in a physical practice is the sum of the journey thus far. Unique to all of us. Like a runner pushes their speed and distance, or a weight lifter goes heavier. Your practice to increase strength, resilience, and prana, to train your body, breath, and mind in your pursuit to bring you to the goal that is your yoga journey. It is unique to all of us, and no two practices should be compared.
I've been delving deeper into meditation, which is more of a challenge for me than any of the physical stuff.
It all leads to one place, and the intention is always about knowing your edge and honouring your limitations. The journey is individual. The goal is the same.
Let's remember our humanity and honour that. The world is very good at making us forget.
Wednesday ramblings.

Todays insights in class focussing on lunar and feminine energy were this;

If the world was led by the very elements of feminine divinity, our world would be a better place.

One that prioritised humanity and our connection to nature, over greed, control, and corruption.

I am woman.
I am not fighting to be equal to a man.
I am different.
I am softer, but strong enough to grow and nurture life.
I create, love, heal, nurture, and empathise.
From my core, I connect to my mother, to my daughters, and to my sisters.
I am a fu***ng creator.
We are powerful.
We are light.
We are magic.

And I think we've mostly forgotten that.

and I are holding womb healing sessions. If you own one now, or had one once, or you're maiden, queen, mother or crone, come connect in our healing circle.

This is the era of the witch returning.

We are pi**ed. But we are ready to occupy that higher place together.

I seem to be in the perpetual battle of doing the squats and the weights to avoid the inevitable decline of my bones, hormones, muscle mass, mind, collagen, s*x appeal, pertness and general joy of youth, vs maintaining my ego aka range of motion.

Or, my yoga is sacred and I do it to shift my prana and remember I am a sovereign devine being and my wight training is to keep me strong to help in the age long battle against global tyranny.

Either way my legs hurt like buggery today and needed a stretch.

Say no to digital ID. That is all.

In a world of changing skies, orchestrated division, where the only right way is the way you're told is right. Where nuance is only acceptable in trivial matters, because science is settled and there are good things and there are bad things and how dare you suggest anything other than that. Where we have to support certain groups and vilify others, be angry at some things, and show unrequited love for others. Where we are shown theatrics and get lost in the soap operas while we walk blindfolded into a future that takes us so far away from our humanity.
At sunrise this morning, someone said, "This is what's real." I think it was Marion.
Remember what is real. Have these moments of awe. Nature. Human. Connection. Light. Water. Magnetism. You are made of light. Look for it in everyone. I used to find it astounding that everyone I know and love in my life is so exceptional, until it hit me today that we probably all are, we just havent bothered to see it in each other.
Look deeper.

Wednesday ramblings.

It's my 20th yoga anniversary.

20 years since I thought yogalates was yoga and that I was really good at is, so I bought Rodney Yee's advanced yoga DVD and was immediately humbled.

I've gone from being an alignment n**i, to the yoga police, to a fisherman pant wearing philosophy studying self proclaimed guru, who massively judges your chakra inbalance. To an Ashtanga obsessed and subsequently injured vegetarian, a pranayama freak, to a mobility obsessed "mover."

All of these stages have been glorious, and each little layer has been added to the mosaic of the teacher I am today.

I still love my practice. The wisdom of the art of yoga shines through whatever external label you give it. You can't help but learn the things.

Grateful for every teacher I've met and studied with, and every day I've jumped on the mat since.

Here's to 20 more years, where frankly I want to embrace the Gandalf wisdom era, right after I've finally found the handstand press...that I've not dedicated any time to in at least 5 years...

Happy yoga versary to me.

Autumn allows us to move in rhythm with nature.
Nature is wise. It doesn't make mistakes.
It doesn't argue over opinions, it doesn't bother itself with politics. It doesn't make up stories or agendas.
It just is. Cyclical, rhythmic. Patient.
Nature's worships the sun's rhythm, it heals.
Drop into it when the world is being stupid.
Also my toes look like a 3rd hand under my knee which freaked me out for a sec.

This. Is. Autumn.
The sun is back in the sea.
The air temp drops to 5 degrees.
The sunrises knock me sideways with their beauty.
The candles call me to light them.
The wood burner beckons.
My yoga practice demands blankets and slowness.
Sundays demand beef.
The mushrooms want me to find them.
The long walks.
The glorious books.
The recipes that want cooking.
The slow meditation.
The cosy calls me.
I sigh.
I welcome you.
