Okay, we know… It’s not even December yet, and we probably shouldn’t be saying the 'C' word just yet...but it is just around the corner and we need your help! 🎄

On 19th December, we’re hosting a Community Christmas Lunch for 100 older members of our community, many of whom can feel overlooked during the festive season.

We’d love to make the day extra special by giving each guest a small gift, and that’s where you come in! Local businesses can support by donating gifts, treats, or sponsorship to help spread a little extra cheer.

Let’s make sure no one in our community feels left out this Christmas. Every contribution makes a difference!

On Tuesday we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating Ukrainian Day with some truly talented Ukrainian ladies who shared their wonderful culture with us.

They treated us to a delicious homemade feast of Borscht, Cutlets, and the most fabulous cakes 🍲🥟🍰 all while teaching us about traditional Ukrainian dress, food, and customs.

It was such a joyful and heartwarming experience that brought everyone together. 💛💙

A huge thank you to The Mayor’s Fund through the North East Combined Authority, and the Ukrainian community for making this special day possible. 🙏

Happy Vegetarian Week! 🍅🥕

To celebrate the importance and healthiness of fruits and veggies, last week we held a fresh produce giveaway, where people could give they have, and take what they need. This was an awesome day, and we managed to give away almost everything Angela and her fabulous volunteers were growing over the summer.

Lets all take this week to celebrate vegetarians around the world and the importance fruits and veggies have in our diet!

The best part of autumn for me is all the beautiful colours!!
What’s your favourite part? Or do you not like it? Let us know in the comments.

And I saw this pitmatic meme and couldn’t help but laugh! Hope it gives you a chuckle too!

We’re stronger when we work together!!
This week’s Better Together: Spotlight shines a light on our partnership with Mortal Fools.

Through our collaboration, we’ve been able to provide nutritious meals to young people through the HAF programme, while Mortal Fools were able to concentrate on doing what they do best, creative, confidence-building, fun activities, supporting young people across Northumberland. Their dedication and partnership help us move forward, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Do you have feedback or ideas? Drop them in the comments, your voice shapes what we do.
