In this episode, we’ll reflect on Martha’s journey as a whole, what’s changed, what she’s learned about herself, and what self-acceptance really looks like.

This episode isn’t about becoming a completely different person.

It’s about feeling more comfortable, more grounded, and more at peace within yourself.

I’m honestly thrilled to share that I’ve been recognised in the Global Health & Pharma Mental Health Awards for the 2nd year running.

When I first stepped into the field of mental health, my only real goal was to help people feel less alone in what they were going through. To create a space where women could breathe, feel heard, understood, and supported without judgement.

This past year has stretched me in so many ways growing the practice, supporting trainee therapists, developing wellbeing programmes, balancing life behind the scenes but moments like this remind me why I do what I do.

To every client who has trusted me, every student I’ve coached, every person who quietly reads my posts or listens to the podcast… thank you.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room to make a meaningful impact. Quiet, compassionate work matters too.

In this month’s check-in, Jen reflects on how therapy continues to show up in everyday life, not just in the bigger moments, but in the quieter shifts that often go unnoticed at first.

We talk about catching old patterns earlier, responding to difficult moments with more awareness, and the growing sense of self-trust that comes from consistently practising the tools learned in therapy.

Jen shares honestly about the balance between progress and the occasional wobble, and how healing has become less about “fixing” herself and more about understanding herself with greater compassion.

These monthly conversations are a reminder that growth isn’t always dramatic, sometimes it’s found in the small moments where you pause, reflect, and choose a different response.

Start Your Day Grounded 🌿

How you begin your morning can shape everything that follows.

Before the rush, the noise, and the to-do lists, take a moment to pause. Breathe deeply, feel your feet on the floor, and gently arrive in the present moment. Grounding yourself doesn’t have to be complicated; it can be as simple as a few mindful breaths, a stretch, or noticing the world around you.

When you start your day feeling centred, it becomes easier to navigate whatever comes your way with calm, clarity, and intention.

Give yourself that space, you deserve a steady start. ✨

You can’t stop the waves 🌊 but you can learn to surf them.

Life will always bring ups and downs, moments of calm and moments that feel overwhelming. Emotions aren’t something we’re meant to shut off or control completely, they’re something we learn to understand, sit with, and move through. Therapy isn’t about eliminating the waves, it’s about building the skills, awareness, and resilience to ride them with more confidence and less fear.

Over time, what once felt like crashing under the weight of it all can start to feel more manageable, like finding your balance, trusting yourself, and knowing you can get through whatever comes next. 🏄‍♀️

Friday Fun Day 💃

Who says Friday gets to have all the fun?

Turn any day into a Friday with a little dance, whether it’s in your kitchen, your office, or a quick moment just for you. Movement shifts energy. It helps release tension, lifts your mood, and reconnects you with your body in a way that feels freeing and joyful.

You don’t need a full routine or perfect moves, just a song you love and a willingness to let go for a few minutes. Shake off the stress, get those good vibrations flowing, and notice how even a small moment of movement can change your whole day.

Because feeling good doesn’t have to wait for the weekend. ✨

Breathe in peace… breathe out stress 🌿

A simple reset you can take with you anywhere.

When the day feels heavy or your mind starts to race, come back to your breath.
Slow it down. Soften your body.
Inhale calm.
Exhale tension.

You don’t have to carry everything at once.
Just this breath. Then the next 💛

Your bedtime routine isn’t just the end of your day… it’s a chance to gently reset your mind and body.
Slowing down. Softening your thoughts.

Creating a little ritual that tells your nervous system: you’re safe to rest now.
Dim the lights.
Put the phone down.
Take a few slow breaths.

You don’t need a perfect routine, just one that feels peaceful and yours.
Protect your rest. It matters more than you think 💛

“Wherever you go, be ALL there.” ✨

How often are we physically in one place… but mentally somewhere else?

Rushing ahead to the next thing. Replaying the last conversation. Missing the moment we’re actually in.

Come back to now.
Be in the conversation.
Be in the walk.
Be in the quiet.

Presence isn’t about doing more, it’s about being here.

Where can you be more present today? 🌿

Hydration… but make it intentional 💧
How often do you actually pause and drink water during your day?

In the Happy Habits Challenge, today’s focus is simple: drink your water, on purpose.
Not rushed. Not forgotten. Not as an afterthought.

There’s a Japanese businessman named who would speak kindly to water, even saying “thank you” before drinking it. Whether you believe the science or not… the message is powerful:

✨ What if the way you treat small moments matters?

So today, try this:
Take a sip. Slow down. Be present. Maybe even say “thank you.”
It’s not just hydration… it’s a reset.
Tiny habit. Meaningful shift 💛
