Happy Habits - Day 1: Do Nothing for 10 Minutes

Today’s habit is simple, but powerful: Give yourself 10 minutes to do absolutely nothing.

No scrolling.
No multitasking.
No fixing or planning

Just breathing.
Just being.
Rest is not laziness, it’s regulation.
Stillness is not wasted time, it’s where your nervous system resets.

You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to be productive to be worthy.
For the next 10 minutes, let yourself exist without expectations.

We were taught to stay positive at all costs, even when it hurts, even when it silences what we really feel.
But forcing positivity doesn’t heal us.

It teaches us to ignore our needs, minimise our pain, and pretend we’re okay when we’re not.
Real growth begins when we allow ourselves to feel without judgment. When we stop rushing to “fix” our emotions and instead listen to what they’re trying to tell us.

You don’t need to be positive to be worthy.
You don’t need to be happy to be healing.
You don’t need to pretend to be okay to be enough.

This is your permission to be honest with yourself, and gentle with your heart.
