ℹ️ Tax Credits are ending on the 5th April 2025. This means patients who hold a tax credit exemption certificate will no longer receive automatic entitlement to free NHS prescriptions after this date.

If you're moved to Universal Credit, check if you're still eligible for support before claiming free NHS prescriptions 👉 www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/check

Please remember, when claiming free NHS prescriptions it is your responsibility to ensure you're claiming correctly. If you claim free NHS prescriptions when you're not entitled, you could receive a penalty charge.

🏦 If you have to pay for your NHS prescriptions, a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) could help you save money. A PPC covers all NHS prescriptions for a set price. You'll save money if you need more than 3 items in 3 months, or 11 items in 12 months. 💊 Come and visit our Pharmacy First - we can provide a range of treatments from our expert pharmacists, without an appointment. The service is free - you will only need to pay a prescription fee if you receive any treatment, and usually pay for your NHS prescriptions.

We treat these key conditions: Sinusitis, Sore throat, Earache, Infected insect bites, Impetigo, Shingles and UTIs in Women. You may be able to access some prescription medicine, if needed.

You can access the service in a number of ways. You can simply walk-in to our pharmacy and we'll always aim to see you within 15 minutes. You can always give us a call, and we will be able to triage you and advise if we can provide treatment, or refer you elsewhere. You may also be referred to us by your GP Surgery, or NHS 111.

We're still offering Free NHS Winter COVID-19 Vaccinations from our pharmacy up until the end of January. Don't delay, get the best protection today! Call-in, and receive your vaccination in a matter of minutes, subject to availability.

We're proud to be offering free NHS COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination from Central Pharmacy every week, alongside Saturdays, to help protect our patients and community from these infections this Autumn and Winter. We aim to provide both COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations at the same appointment where possible, or patients can also book for individual vaccinations.
