So some of the male support workers (after much risk planning exercises from the management team: shout out to CM Stew for helping with this!) took to the tracks with some of the our clients to try out some go karting this week!

Lads all thoroughly enjoyed it (staff and clients) and was certainly an unforgettable experience to remember!

Today is hot hot hot and our dedicated staff are still out and about to make sure everyone is safe and well, determined to ensure clients are safe, comfortable and well in these temperatures. Whilst they have been briefed about keeping clients safe and well we also wanted to ensure they kept safe and well and not forgetting to look after themselves, our Registered Manager has been out and about yesterday and today delivering our "sun survival kits" to all staff consisting of:
a fan,
suncream,
deodorant,
cooling towels (staying cool and wet for up to 3 hours at a time)
Cooling mist spray
SPV 30 lip balm and of course bottled water.

To all our staff, please remember to look after yourselves, your needs are important too!

Flamingoland for the lads!
3 of our younger support workers took out some of the younger service users to flamingoland for some exiting and daring thril rides and a walk around the zoo! Unfortunately they were having too much fun to get too many pictures but we did get a small glimpse into their day!
