Toyota Rav4 2.2 DPF fault P2002 fixed.

This very well maintained Toyota came into us to investigate the ongoing DPF problems. We carried out our in depth assessment and found that the DPF was blocked due to the 5th injector port being clogged.

We cleared the blockage in the 5th injector port, cleaned the DPF using DC Lubricants Ltd DPF Soak & Rinse then carried out an extended road test to confirm the fix. During road test the car completed it's own regeneration and we were happy to hand the car back to the customer 😀

Peugeot Expert 1.6 HDI Euro 6 DPF Assessment.

Another day another DPF problem and unfortunately on this one we were too late to the party to save this DPF. This one will require a new DPF and the additive tank refilled then it's good to go.

Leaving DPF problems unchecked for too long can lead to bigger problems so please do not ignore those warning lights.

Honda Civic DPF assessment due to suspected blocked DPF.

A question that we are often asked is 'how much for a DPF clean' and we will always explain that we won't just clean a DPF without assessing the problem.

This Honda is a great example of why we do this. The DPF wasn't actually blocked, infact it was the opposite with very low pressure. As part of our DPF assessment, we measure the PN (Particulate Number) using our specialist equipment to detect if the DPF is filtering efficiently. Unfortunately there isn't alot of filtering going on here so a new DPF is required.

We also detected a blockage in the low pressure EGR system so all of this information was passed on to the customer.

Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTI Euro 6 DPF cleaning.

This Insignia came into us from a regular trade customer after they had repaired a boost leak that had caused the DPF to block up heavily. As always we carry out our DPF Assessment to make sure there were no other underlying issues and we did identify one other problem. This info was relayed back to the garage for them to take care of when the car returned.

We then successfully cleaned the DPF in situ using the awesome DC Lubricants Ltd DPF Soak & Rinse and carried out an extended road test to monitor engine data.

Audi A6 2.0 TDI Euro 6 P2002 DPF Efficiency fault diagnosed.

We see alot of these faults on Euro 6 VAG group cars and in alot of cases it is caused by a blocked low pressure EGR cooler. However, this fault code can also be triggered by numerous other things so it is important to diagnose the problem properly before replacing any expensive (and labour intensive) parts. In this case it was being caused by the EGR cooler as we proved this during our diagnostic assessment.

All of the evidence was then presented to the customer so they can make an informed decision about the repairs needed.

Sometimes getting prepared for a busy week means sacrificing your weekend....

Today we are updating all of our scantools ready for a busy week and also setting up our latest addition from with the new Topdon One Plus. We actually run 4 Topdon scantools now aswell as many others as this helps us during busy times!!

Of course, the scantool is no good if yiu don't know what you are looking at so the 'tool holding the scantool' is even more important.

We have very limited availability over the next few weeks so get booked in quickly if you need our help.
