New first point of contact for adult social care support ๐Ÿ’š

From Monday 30 March 2026, residents who feel they need support from Adult Social Care should contact Tameside Councilโ€™s Early Support and Advice Hub (ESAH) as their first port of call.

ESAH offers a holistic, person centred approach, helping people understand their options and find the right care and support at the right time. Their aim is to help residents stay well, independent and connected in the place they call home.

In the past year the team have supported almost 5000 residents to live well in the place they call home.

Whatโ€™s changing?

Previously, these calls were handled by the Community Gateway. Moving forward, the Gateway will continue its important role for Health District Nursing only.
