🍼 Struggling to find milk for your formula-fed baby because of the ?

TOP TIPS
🤱 If you’re mixed feeding, more if you can

1️⃣ You can use any first infant formula for 0-12 months, whether powdered or liquid – they all provide the nutrients your baby needs. You may notice changes in your baby’s poo but switching between first infant formulas is safe

2️⃣ Follow on formula can be used for 6-12 months (whether powdered or liquid) but NEVER give follow-on formula to babies under 6 months old

3️⃣ 4️⃣ NEVER give growing up or toddler milks or drinks to babies under 12 months

❌ Be aware that no formula milks are necessary at all for children over 12 months

❗ Only use a specialised formula milk (lactose-free, anti-reflux, comfort) on the advice of a medical professional

REMEMBER
🦠 Powdered formula milks are NOT STERILE: Always follow the NHS advice on making up and storing formula to minimise the risk of bacterial contamination which can make your baby sick.

🤖 Formula preparation machines often do not produce water that is hot enough to kill any bacteria in the formula powder, so it’s best to avoid using them at all.

Product recall notice regarding UK APTAMIL. Please see guidance below which includes details of effected batches and who to contact

30/01/2026

The World Health Organization has announced that the UK has lost its measles elimination status.

Doctors, public health experts and local councils said the WHO’s decision reflected the country’s reducing uptake of the MMR vaccination – which they linked to vaccine hesitancy and parents’ difficulty in accessing reliable information and getting appointments for their child to be immunised, in addition to poverty.

🚨 Urgent Equipment Appeal 🚨

We’ve seen a significant increase in referrals this month, with over 105 children referred to our service already this month. As a result, we urgently need essential baby equipment to ensure families can be supported safely and without delay.

We are reopening donations for equipment only and are currently seeking:

• High chairs (folding or IKEA style)
• Cots (120 x 60cm or 140 x 70cm – no Moses baskets or next-to-me cots, please)
• Baby bouncers
• Microwave or plug-in sterilisers

⚠️ Please note: we are still closed to preloved clothing donations until February due to space and capacity constraints.

These items are critical. Without them, families are left waiting for essentials that support safe feeding, safe sleep and day-to-day care for their babies.

👉 How you can help:
• If you have one of the items listed above, please comment “Equipment” and we’ll get in touch
• If you don’t have items to donate but would like to help, comment “Wishlist” and we’ll send you a link to our Amazon Wishlist, where items can be sent directly to us
• Please also share this post with your networks to help us reach anyone who may be able to support

Thank you, as always, for standing with local families when they need it most 💚
Your support helps us respond quickly, safely and with dignity.
