At a time in our lives that was filled with emotion and what felt like an endless list of things to deal with, Anthony and Tammy at Anthony Barton Funeral Directors went above and beyond in taking care of our father‑in‑law, Jake Ashworth.
They guided us through every step with compassion, professionalism, and an attention to detail that truly made a difficult time a little easier. They thought of things we had no knowledge or experience with, ensuring that Jake was given the farewell he deserved and one we will always remember.

The family of Gary Brophy are deeply saddened to share the news of his passing on 26th February 2026.

Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His family invite those who knew Gaz to join them in celebrating his life and sharing cherished memories.

His funeral service will take place on Monday 23rd March at 3:00pm at Hollinwood Crematorium, Roman Road, Oldham, OL8 3LU.

After the service, everyone is warmly invited to join the family for a wake at The Saddleworth Rangers Rugby Club Shaw Hall Bank Road, Greenfield, Oldham, OL3 7LD, from 4:00pm, where you are welcome to continue sharing memories and stories of Gaz.

My personal experience with Anthony Barton independent funeral directors was exemplary from the outset, both Anthony and Tami showed exemplary levels of empathy and care towards myself and family, they’re truly remarkable people and I could not have hoped for the level of service given at an extremely difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble, the attention to detail was perfect, everything was just how our mum wanted it to be. Post funeral communication has also been excellent. Anthony and Tami are remarkable human beings who made a lasting impression on me and my family. Thank you both.
