The family have asked us to share the following notice:

Thomas Mitchell passed away on 20th February 2026, aged 62 years.

Thomas will take his final journey on Thursday 2nd April, arriving at Manchester Crematorium, New Chapel, at 12:30pm.

Family request: If possible, those attending are kindly asked to wear Manchester City blue tops in memory of Thomas.

Donations, if desired, to British Heart foundation & Cancer Research

Today is International Women’s Day, and we want to take a moment to recognise the incredible women who are part of our team here at AF Whites.
Every company is fortunate to have amazing women within it, and we are no different. We are proud to have four wonderful ladies who go above and beyond every day, showing compassion, dedication and care to the families we have the privilege to support.
Lesley, Lindsey, Angela and Beau are always there to help at your time of need, offering kindness, understanding and professionalism when it matters most.
We would also like to recognise the many celebrants we work with who lead our services so beautifully, many of whom are amazing women who bring warmth, dignity and compassion to every farewell.
Thank you for everything you do today and every day. ❤️

Yesterday, we had the privilege of conducting the funeral for a truly lovely lady.
Her family chose a beautiful white coffin with elegant silver fittings, surrounded by stunning colourful flowers, a tribute filled with light, love and dignity.
It was a heartfelt service, honouring a life that will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. 💐
Our thoughts remain with her family and friends at this difficult time.

This Valentine’s Day, our hearts are heavy as we remember and say goodbye to someone we love dearly.
Love never truly leaves us, it lives on in our memories and in the lives they touched.

Pamela Muriel Griffiths "Pam" passed away 31st January 2026 aged 83 years.
Pam will take her final journey on Tuesday 24th February and will arrive at Dukinfield crematorium at 10:30
Family have asked for people to wear colours to the service in memory of Pam. Donations to Willow Wood.

Norman Kinsey passed away 11th January 2026 aged 86 years.
Norman will take his final journey on Thursday 5th February and will arrive at Altrincham crematorium at 11:30
Family flowers only but donations to Alzheimers society.
Following the service, friends and family are warmly invited to share memories of Norman at The Griffin on Wilmslow Road, Cheadle, SK8 3BE.

From all of us here at AF Whites, we would like to wish all the families we have had the privilege of caring for a peaceful Christmas. We know this time of year can be especially hard for some, and you are very much in our thoughts.

Thank you to everyone who came to last night’s memorial evening. It was lovely to see you all, including the Mayor of Tameside, who showed her support.
And thank you to Jane Valentine Celebrant for leading the service, a wonderful job, as always.🎄

Just a reminder today is our Memorial Candle Gathering 21st December. This is our 1st one since we established in 2017, hope to see you all there 16:45.🎄

A.F. Whites would like to share an open invitation to a memorial gathering being held at Albion Church, Ashton-under-Lyne, on Sunday 21st December.

This will be a simple, gentle evening where you can
🕯 light a candle in memory of someone you love
🎄 place a Christmas ornament in their honour
and take a moment to reflect amongst others who understand.

Doors open from 4.45pm
Service begins at 5pm

Mince pies, warm drinks and a welcoming space will be available to anyone who wishes to come along. After the memorial, there is also the option to stay for the Carol Service led by the church.

No need to book just come as you are.
