A fresh new look for the fleet👌

We’re pleased to showcase our latest van graphics, designed and installed by our trusted local specialists at GR Labels ( https://www.grlabels4signs.co.uk/ )

The brief was clear:
✔ Incorporate our new branding, colours, font and tagline
✔ Ensure full highways compliance with reflective chevrons and safety striping
✔ Effectively position our accreditations for visibility and credibility
✔ Keep the design practical and professional for day-to-day site work

The result strikes the perfect balance between branding and awareness with safety and compliance.

Our vehicles are a huge part of our presence on-site and on the road, so it was important that the graphics not only looked sharp but also clearly represented who we are and what we stand for.

Big thanks to the team at GR Labels for delivering exactly what we envisioned👏

If you see us on the roads, give us a wave👋

✅ If you’ve got an upcoming project requiring specialist working at height support, get in touch with the team to see how we can help.

We’re proud to be supporting Running the Railways 2026💛

So, what’s it all about?🤔

This unique endurance challenge will see superhuman Alex Rigby take on the extraordinary task of running a 5K every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours straight, alongside teams of runners (including some of our very own VAthletes). It’s a huge physical and mental challenge, all in aid of raising vital funds for Centre 56.

For over 50 years, Centre 56 has provided a safe and supportive environment for children aged 2–12 who have experienced domestic abuse or crisis situations. Alongside specialist childcare, they offer families stability, practical help, and a place to begin rebuilding during some of life’s toughest moments.

With such an inspiring cause, and our close friends at Clan Contracting supporting as the headline sponsor, we knew we had to get involved. We’re proud to announce that we are one of the gold sponsors of the event and some of the team will also be taking part in the run!

📍We’ll be gathering our team in Hightown to run the second leg at 6pm on 26th June, with Clan handing over the baton as we head back towards Freshfield railway station. The dream team back at it again!

If you’re nearby, come down and show your support. It would mean a lot 🙌

And if you can, please like, share, comment, or even better, donate! 💛

Your support helps provide life-changing services such as:
💛 Specialist childcare for ages 2–12
☕ Coffee mornings for parents and carers
🚌 Fun day trips for children
🌈 Access to essentials like clothes, food, toiletries, and period products via the Rainbow Room
🥰 Ongoing care, understanding, and support for families in need

Let’s bring the community together and change as many lives as we can.

A dam beautiful day for it😉
📍 Vyrnwy, Wales

It’s safe to say projects with views like this have the whole management team competing for site visits…

Works are now well underway at Vyrnwy. Having smashed through the downstream elevation survey (all 358lm of it😅) the team are already moving into the next phase of works.

What does that include?🤔
👉 Using our specialist rope access team and safe systems we will be carrying out masonry and mortar repairs to the eight turret roofs located along the dam wall.

Why rope access?🤔
👉 It allows us to complete the work with minimal disruption to the structure and its surroundings, leaving no trace other than a completed repair. These works are all part of maintaining/prolonging the life of this iconic structure.

As always, a huge shoutout to our on-site team for their outstanding work in protecting the safety and integrity of this Grade I listed structure👏

We’ll be sharing more stunning visuals as the team progresses through the works!

Contractor of the Month🥽 🦺

Big shoutout to our Structures Team for the work they are currently doing on the Manchester Town Hall renovation project. Their strong focus on safety has earned them Contractor of the Month under the Safety, Health & Environment Award.

They’ve set a great example of the standards we aim for at VA and should be really proud of what they’ve achieved.

We’re looking forward to sharing more updates as the project moves forward.

Keep up the great work, team!

Women in Construction Week⚙️ 👷‍♀️
2nd–7th March

This week marks Women in Construction Week, a chance to recognise and celebrate the contribution women make across an industry that has traditionally been male-dominated.

At Vertical Access, we are proud to have talented women working across different parts of the business. Their skills, professionalism and commitment play an important role in the success of our team.

Hannah👇
With more than 12 years at Vertical Access, Hannah has worked in several roles within the company. She is now our Operations Director, responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. Hannah works closely with contract managers, administrators and site teams to keep operations running safely and effectively. There's no question that Hannah is the backbone of the company💪

Freya👇
Freya is currently our only female member of the on-site team and a valued part of our Structures Division. Since joining last year, she has contributed to a number of key projects, including the 5G installation at the Etihad, cleaning works at the Arndale Link Bridge and inspection work across university and residential buildings. We're really happy with how far she's progressed and excited to see how far she can go!

Grace👇
Grace manages the company’s financial records, including bookkeeping and payroll. Her work supports the smooth running of the business and ensures finances across Vertical Access are kept accurate and up to date. Grace also has the hardest job in the business, making sure everyone is happy with the kitchen's biscuit selection...

Rachel👇
Rachel is the newest member of our office team and has quickly become a valued part of the company. She helps keep the office running efficiently by supporting a range of administrative tasks, including maintaining compliance requirements, coordinating logistics and assisting operational processes. If you have ever called the Vertical Access office, there is a good chance Rachel was the friendly voice on the other end of the phone.

Without these important members of the team, Vertical Access would not be what it is today. Thank you for the hard work, dedication and positivity you bring to the business🙌
