What an amazing achievement of making the podium, considering it’s only our second year competing at SHG together!💜

I am so proud of us, but I can honestly say our hard work over the past few months has really paid off✅

The workouts speak for themselves, they never get any easier 🤣

You either love it or hate it, however I’m going to outline the reasons as to why I choose to implement running into my weekly routine.

Running has a wide range of benefits including: mental, physical, lifestyle and social benefits.

- Boosts mood and reduces stress
- Improves sleep and mental clarity.
- Strengthens heart and lungs
- Burns calories
- Increases energy and focus
- Creates structure and discipline
- Can be meditative and relaxing (* sometimes 🤣*)

Exercise has numerous benefits for people with Parkinson’s disease. It is one of the most effective non-pharmacological strategies to manage symptoms and improve quality of life. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the benefits:

Motor Symptoms: Improves balance and coordination and reduces the risk of falls with further stability. Increases in mobility and flexibility with reduced stiffness and rigidity. Placing a focus on enhancing gait and walking ability supports functional independence in everyday life.
