Some of the activities from this week...Summer Picture Bingo was great fun! ☀️📸
Mavis was our winner, but everyone enjoyed some delicious homemade cake as a prize! 🎂

We also had lots of laughs with prize bingo, air hockey games, and colouring activities. A lovely few days enjoyed by all! 😊
And not forgetting a spot of gardening...planting the herbs 🌿 bought at the garden centre trip from earlier in the week. 🌿

Yesterday we went on a lovely trip out to Stratford Garden centre. It was a day full of fun and laughter. Dodging the rain one minute and sitting out in glorious sunshine the next!
We bought some herbs to plant in our garden. Ready for when the new potatoes are ready 😋
It was a very pleasant afternoon out indeed

🇬🇧🇬🇧VE DAY AT BRACEBRIDGE COURT🇬🇧🇬🇧

Friday at Bracebridge Court, our hearts were full as we gathered together to celebrate VE Day 🇬🇧✨

The garden was alive with music, laughter and togetherness thanks to a truly special performance from Musical Moments. Residents, staff and families sang along to beloved wartime classics, danced together, clapped to the music and even joined in playing instruments. For many, the songs brought back treasured memories and touching moments of reflection, reminding us all of the strength, courage and spirit of a remarkable generation. ❤️
Of course, no British celebration would be complete without fresh cream scones and a lovely cup of tea enjoyed in the sunshine ☕🍓
The celebrations then continued indoors with a wonderful street party spread of sandwiches and delicious trimmings, finished perfectly with beautiful red, white and blue cakes lovingly created by our amazing kitchen team ❤️🤍💙
There were smiles, singing, happy tears and heartfelt reminiscing throughout the day — a beautiful celebration filled with warmth, pride, gratitude and community spirit. A truly special VE Day that will stay in our hearts for a long time ✨

☀️✨ What a truly wonderful morning for our Runwood Ramblers today! ✨☀️

Derek and three lovely ladies headed out for a refreshing walk together this morning, making the most of the beautiful sunshine and great company 🌸👣
While out, Derek decided he wanted to pop into the shop to pick up a little sweet treat for everyone to enjoy when they returned home — he made a lovely choice, some delicious cakes for all 🍰💛 Such a thoughtful gesture!
Back at home, they gathered in the garden with cups of tea, tasty cake, and plenty of laughter. The banter between them all was priceless and the smiles were contagious 😊☕🌼
Derek shared, “I wasn’t going to come out today, but you know what? I’m so glad I did. I’ve had a wonderful morning. Thank you.” 💫
The ladies were equally appreciative, and as the sunshine continued, more residents came outside to soak up the warm, happy atmosphere together, and enjoyed a game or two 🥰 ☀️🌷

Moments like these remind us how special time with friends are 🥰

What a special couple of days we've had at Bracebridge Court celebrating three wonderful birthdays! 🎉🎂
Yesterday we celebrated Eileen turning 87 and Else turning 90 with a lovely party shared with residents and family. Today the celebrations continue as Eunice turns an incredible 99 years young!
Happy Birthday to three amazing ladies — surrounded by friendship, family, laughter, and so many happy memories. ❤️
Thankyou for allowing us to share this special day with you all ...we hope you enjoyed your party's.
A special thankyou to Leslie for helping us tidy up after the party too 😊

As Nurses week commences Wednesday, and as the Nurses’ Hub is currently closed due to building work. Bracebridge Court would like to offer our café space for you to use whilst this is ongoing.

You’re very welcome to drop in for tea, coffee, and breakfast — we have a selection of cereals available, and you can help yourself to toast and hot drinks. It’s a relaxed space where you can take a break or catch up on your write-ups while the hub is out of action.

Just a small way for us to do something nice for you — we hope it helps.

Just some pictures from yesterday , a lovely Sunday at Bracebridge Court.
As it was international Laughter day we did a joke scavenger hunt. Jokes were dotted around the home with a message asking the finder to tell the joke to someone and pass it on! 😅( one of the senior staff loved the jokes and was telling residents and staff and looking for more !👍😀😀)
Cynthia was out admiring the garden and seeing how some of the vegetable seeds are already coming up! 🥕🥒🥦🥜

Our minibus trip to RAF MUSEUM COSFORD.
Everyone said what an amazing time they'd had. A lovely picnic ( thank you to our catering staff for preparing it for us 😀) . Then a gentle walk around the aircraft hangers. We met some remarkable staff there. Yogi who was in the RAF himself before working at Cosford.... One of the volunteers who explained all about the spitfires being flown from place to another.. And also Oscar who very kindly brought the new edition RAF newspapers out to us. The whole team were so kind and helpful.
Without a doubt a perfect trip to mark VE day , a very successful day out indeed and one we would like to go on again. ✈️🛫🛩

With VE day coming up we thought we would take a trip to Cosford RAF museum ✈️🛩Look out for the pictures later 😉🥰
