As the funeral industry changes over time, some families are now choosing a direct cremation as an alternative to traditional services. This option can reflect personal wishes for simplicity or a need for financial flexibility, offering a respectful choice in line with individual preferences.

With over fifty years as a family owned business, we are dedicated in offering compassionate, tailored services to our community, whether you seek a fully personalised funeral or direct cremation. Our commitment to care never changes despite what funeral option is chosen.

We encourage families to carefully review funeral plans, especially those offered by larger corporate providers, and to understand where your loved will be placed and the facilities involved in their care until cremation. These details are important, and recent industry discussions emphasise a need for transparency.

At M G Evans, we believe that family owned funeral providers offer a uniquely compassionate and reliable approach. With deep roots in our community, we ensure that your loved one is cared for close to home, by people who understand the value of legacy and local connection. For guidance or more information, please feel free to reach out, we are here to support you.

20 Years Today

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since we lost our beloved Doreen Evans. She was the heart and soul of our family, and of the community she loved so much.

In 1969, she started the business that would go on to support not just our family, but countless others over the decades. Through sheer hard work, kindness, and unwavering determination, she built something lasting, and she did it with a smile and a warmth that made everyone feel welcome.

She was loved by all who knew her, customers who became friends, neighbours, and anyone lucky enough to cross her path. Her generosity, and open heart left an impression that time hasn’t dimmed.

We miss her every day, but today especially, we remember the incredible legacy she left behind. Thank you for everything and we miss you dearly.

Forever in our hearts.

There’s never an easy time for a funeral, but a little sunshine can bring a quiet comfort on a difficult day.

Last week here at MG Evans & Sons, we had the absolute honor and privilege of undertaking the funeral service for a late police officer who sadly lost his battle with cancer. In homage to his incredible service within the police force, we were accompanied by a police es**rt, guard, and standard bearer to take this young gentleman on his final journey. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the family for entrusting him to our care and to Warwickshire Police for their assistance and support.
