We had a hauntingly good Halloween at Brooklyn House. Our team and residents had a fantastic time carving pumpkins,dressing up and spooky Bingo. We all felt a bit batty.

Last nights Quiz & Chips was a great success last night. We hosted the event for World Stroke Day. After three rounds including stroke awareness questions,reigning champions Rays Angels won by one point. Everyone tucked into their fish and chip suppers and took part in a raffle to boost funds. All money will be donated to The Stroke Association. So far we have raised £140. We are hoping to reach our target of £200 later today.

We've had fun horsing around this afternoon when Tess the Shetland pony popped in to say hello to our residents and families. Tess is 29 years old and just loves strokes and cuddles. She will be the subject of conversation for quite a while.

Today marks National Apple Day and what could be better than looking at the history of Attleboroughs once thriving cider industry. Our weekly trip to our community Heritage Club was displaying Gaymers Ciders history with photos,memorabilia and former employees on hand to teach us all about the company and cider production.

We've had fun preparing for our Christmas cake competition this week. Mavis and Vera reminisced as they made some decorations from icing.

We had guests for our regular Bingo session with some lovely ladies from St Edmunds Care Home.
What was even better was they met up with old friends living at Brooklyn House. With eyes down,everyone enjoyed the game,winning prizes and a natter with a cuppa.

We welcomed the fabulous Jack Darcy back to our home this week. Inspired by his Grandparents love of swing music,Jack wowed us with an awesome arrangement of songs whose original artists included old blue eyes Sinatra and Dean Martin It was a real treat for Linda who exclaimed it had made the day very special.
