I'm excited about being involved with this one!

Get yer'sells doon to T Total in the Park, Ayrshire's finest drugs and alcohol-free festival, where the tunes are banging, the laughs are plentiful, and there’s zero chance of waking up wondering who stole ye'r chips (because it'll 100 percent be me!!!) or wae hauf a random kebab in ye'r bed! 🤢🤭

Now, I don’t work with loads of charities—life’s busy, and there are only so many hours in the day—but I do proudly support ACDI Recovery and Ayrshire Food Samaritans. ACDI Recovery does incredible work helping folk understand the risks of excessive drinking, supporting those looking to cut back, and assisting anyone living with alcohol dependency. Meanwhile, Ayrshire Food Samaritans work hard to make sure nobody in our community goes hungry. Both are legends in their own right! 🌟❤️

So, get yer'sells a ticket and come and say Hiya!

Nae hangovers, nae daft decisions—just a cracking day full of tunes, laughs, and good vibes!

Brunch at Boswell is back tomorrow - we've missed you all. Come along and join us from 10Aam to 12pm

We’re a relaxed and easy-going group, and everyone is welcome.
We’ll have a delicious spread for you, featuring:

- Plus, tea, coffee, biscuits, and of course, a good laugh!

We’re always here to offer support, whether you’re dealing with addiction, mental health challenges, loneliness, or just need someone to chat with. And if you’re supporting someone who struggles with any of these issues and need support, you’re also welcome!

Hey everyone! We’ve been super busy over the past few months, and we wanted to share some of the amazing projects and events we've been working on:

(1) Some of our group successfully completed SRC Recovery College. It was a fantastic experience, and the skills & knowledge gained will be invaluable. The participants gained an accredited CPD Certificate

(2) Our 2 Health and Wellbeing Events were a huge success! Also highlighted the need for these simple health checks (diabetes, prostate, blood sugar levels). Some of our volunteers are now being trained by BHR Pharmaceutics to carry out these tests at events we will be attending over the summer

(3) In partnership with Health & Social Care: we hosted an Adult Support & Protection Day which was well attend and valuable advice (& freebies) given to all that attended

(4) We had an incredible time a Brew & Blether, this was hosted by the Su***de Prevention Team and not only highlighted the impact of su***de on family/close friends, also touched on the Drug Debt Su***des which sadly is becoming more and more common

(5) We had a very deep and emotional focus group led by NHS AA Public Health Officer which focused on women's health and treatment services

(6). Mairebeth from SDF kindly came along to deliver Naloxone training, which given the recent drug death figures in East Ayrshire was a perfect opportunity for some of us to refresh our training and for some of to learn how to administer Naloxone.

(7) Finally, we had a lovey afternoon with Dr Megan Quinn from University of Tennessee and a lively discussion about alcohol and drug trends and compared treatment of people with addiction issues here in Ayrshire to those in America

I could go on & list the training, events and conferences we have attended over the past few months but I’d be here all day 🙈🙈

Finally, working in partnership is fundamental for ACDI Recovery for achieving shared goals and delivering better outcomes, particularly in recovery services where resources and expertise need to be pooled together. Partnerships enable individuals and organizations to build on each other's strengths, provide holistic solutions, and address complex issues efficiently.
