“I know what to do, I’m just not doing it.”

If I had a pound for every time I heard someone say this, I’d be a rich man.

But here’s the thing...

You don’t need more information.

You already know where you’re going wrong.

You’re just doing nothing about it.

Why would you?

Eating less and feeling hungry is uncomfortable.

Staying on the couch when it’s cold and pi***ng down outside is easier than getting yourself to the gym.

And when there’s no one checking in on you, it’s too easy to make excuses.

“I’ll start Monday.”

“I’ve had a busy week.”

“I’ll get back on track next week.”

You tell yourself these things and there’s no one there to call you out on it.

That’s where accountability comes in.

When you know someone is keeping an eye on you, you actually do what needs to be done.

You’re not going to want to let your coach down.

And your coach isn’t going to buy the same bu****it excuses you tell yourself.

You don’t need more information.

You need someone to make sure you actually do what you already know you should be doing.

One 2 month half-arsed bulk isn’t gonna cut it.

You need to do the work, otherwise you’re not going to have as much muscle as you think you do when you diet down.

These dark winter months are vital.

Instead of getting sloppy and falling off the wagon,

Focus on getting f**king strong and eating for mass.

It will pay off on next years cut.

First place in the Dad bod Pro Grand Prix 🏆

Something I think about a lot is the fact that your kids are always watching.

They’re watching how you eat.

Whether you goto the gym, go out a run, or simply just walk to the shop instead of drive.

They see if you make excuses and give up easily, or if you’re resilient and find a way to get sh*t done regardless of your circumstances.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Your daily actions could literally shape their future for better or worse.

“I thought I was just a sh*t client”

That’s what Rebecca believed.

She’d had coaches before.

And she never lasted longer than 2 months with any of them.

She’d get sent a meal plan full of foods she didn’t like.

Chicken, broccoli, and rice every single day.

She’d try to stick to it for a few weeks but it was f**king miserable.

Her coaches would send generic check-in messages without actually caring about her progress.

No real feedback, no adjustments when things weren’t progressing.

Just copy and paste responses.

So she’d fall off the plan.

Feel guilty about wasting her money.

And convince herself she was just a terrible client who couldn’t stick to anything.

But it wasn’t her.

She just hadn’t had proper coaching before.

When she reached out to me, she was hesitant.

Worried it would be the same thing all over again.
But this time was different.

I don’t do copy and paste plans.

I don’t send generic check-ins.

And I don’t let my clients fall off without stepping in.

I actually get to know my clients and communicate with them properly.

That’s what works.

Since working together , Rebecca is now 16kg down and just did her first photoshoot.

She’s got structure, feels in control, and is actually enjoying it.

She’s not a sh*t client.

She just needed a coach who knew what they were doing.

So if you’ve tried coaching before and couldn’t stick to it,

Don’t assume you’re the problem.

You probably just had a sh*t coach.

Here’s why I’m qualified to coach you.

And why most coaches aren’t.

I didn’t do one bodybuilding show and decide I was an expert.

I competed for years.

Placed at every show.

Worked a real job before coaching so I understand what it’s like to be knackered at the end of the day with no time to meal prep.

I’ve travelled and done countless courses to learn from the best in the industry.

And I’ve worked with hundreds of clients to prove it all works.

Most coaches nowadays have done one transformation - their own.

Then they charge you for advice they’re not qualified to give.

Not much change on the scales last week but I do feel like my physique looks a lot tighter here so happy with the progre...

Not much change on the scales last week but I do feel like my physique looks a lot tighter here so happy with the progress.

Actually woke up at 72.8kg this morning so clearly just needed to be patient. That’s 3kg down from high to low in just over 2 weeks, can’t really complain at that đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™‚ïž

Some lifting from last week.

This week was the beginning of running a periodisation model where we ran 3 sets of 6-8 reps on squat, bench and deads

Me being me I stuck to the lower end of that rep range using 122.5kg on the bench, 180kg for deadlifts and 100kg for front squats.

Recently switched my deadlifts deadstop rather than touch and go which is taking some getting used to but a change that we will reap the rewards from in the future.

Let me guess what happened...

You got sent a meal plan full of foods you don’t even like.

Chicken, broccoli, and rice every single day.

Most coaches don’t have a clue what they’re doing.

They’ve dieted down once and decided that makes them qualified.

They give you the same plan they give everyone else.

And when it doesn’t work, they blame you instead of fixing their sh*t coaching.

That’s exactly what happened to Rebecca.

She’d been through it before with another coach.

When she reached out to me, she was hesitant.

That’s what actually works.

After working together all year, Rebecca is now 15kg down and just did her first photoshoot.

She’s got structure, feels in control, and is actually enjoying it instead of forcing herself through a miserable prison diet.

So if you’ve tried coaching before and it didn’t work,

Don’t assume you’re the problem.

Chances are you just had a coach who wasn’t good enough.
