To help shape the local Dementia action plan, we want to hear from people who use dementia services, their families and carers, and members of the public to help us ensure that our approach reflects local needs and priorities, builds on existing strengths in dementia care and support and addresses gaps and challenges which are unique to Fife.

With the recent storms causing power cuts across Scotland, it's worth checking if you're eligible for free extra support in emergencies.

Most utility providers offer a scheme called a 'Priority Services Register' which gives vulnerable customers extra help, such as winter packs and dedicated customer service lines, throughout the year and also in emergencies.

Water 💧
If you have a disability, medical condition or any other reason for needing additional support, you can register your details with Scottish Water’s Priority Services Register. Support includes bottled water in the event of a disruption to your water supply, large print materials and extra time for appointments. Electricity 💡
Scotland has two power distribution companies who provide extra support during planned and unplanned power cuts. The Priority Services Register includes anyone with a chronic illness, a child under the age of five, or who needs electricity for home or medical care.

SGN provides extra help if you’re without your gas supply either in an emergency or because of planned work.
