If you have been on social media today at all, you will already know that it is world mental health day and it's great to see that there is an increasing awareness being brought to mental health.

People know all too well the benefits of looking after their physical health and to a certain extent know exactly what to do to help improve it....mental health maybe not so much.

First of it is great that mental health is now a more talked about issue in todays world, but in comparison to our physical health it generally gets nowhere near the same attention from us in how we look after it.

It is often viewed as something that only needs attention if someone is struggling with issues like depression or anxiety. If we applied that same anology to our physical health then only those who have health risks should exercise! It's just simply not the case.

No matter what state your mental health is in, it still needs to be looked after. So take time EVERY DAY, not just world mental health day, to take time out.

Allow yourself the opportunity to switch off and disconnect from the chaos of work and life.
Go for a walk to help clear the clutter in your head.
Talk to someone to help let go some of the weight that you carry around.
And if nothing else just simply breathe... take a moment (like right now) to watch the flow of your breath travel through the whole of your body and release back out.....

Hi everyone, I just want to take a little time today to introduce myself for anyone who may not be sure of me and how I have ended up as the other half of Level Up Online Coaching.

I have always had an interest in fitness, mainly down to my involvement in sport growing up and even still to this day. It seemed an obvious choice that my career should go down the same path.

First though I had to get through my early to mid 20s, which involved a fairly substantial social life and a bit of travelling threw in along the way. Once I got that out of my system I was ready to get myself a 'proper actual job'.

Along came a primary school sports coaching job, which I absolutely loved (especially the sunny days, the winter mornings not so much) and shortly after the opportunity to start work as a PT.

It was when I got myself into this environment where I was training a lot more regularly that I started to appreciate the importance of looking after the body in terms of keeping myself supple....next up go complete my 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training, which was without doubt one of my best decisions ever.

Obviously this year has provided its own obstacles but for us it showed us an opportunity. During lockdown, because we were more prominent through online with the service that we could deliver we had people reach out to us that normally wouldn't have. With that we realised that we could and should widen our scope when it came to helping people, which is ultimately why we both set out on this career path to begin with!

And so Level Up Online Coaching was born! We want to help you become unstuck, no matter where in your fitness journey you have become stuck, we want to be able to bring you to your next level!

We are officially live with our the release of our new online coaching service. Give our Level Up page a follow to see what we are all about and how we can help you become unstuck.

2020 has been a mad year. Straight up crazy. It’s affected more people in more ways than anyone could ever have imagined.

It’s left a lot of people feeling stuck. Stuck in a rut with their eating, their exercise and with how they look at themselves.

You deserve more than that. A lot more.

You should be more confident in yourself, not only that you are fit both mentally and physically for what life throws at you but that you can do it with a smile on your face and a bounce in your step.

Cannot wait to dive into this new chapter! A lot of work has been put in and will continue in the future to be able to offer you this brand new service!!

Really excited to say myself and Conor Hackett Yoga & PT are joining forces to offer an online coaching service in the very near future.

We’re buzzing to be able to help more people hit their goals. Our aim is to empower busy professionals to take their body and mind to the next level!

That feeling like you don’t have time? Or that you know you need to do something, but aren’t sure exactly what it is...that’s where we’ll come in!

We often only see the end results on social media and think we are a million miles away from reaching that same target that we actually end up getting put off.

What we don't get to see as much is the work and effort that is needed to be put in to get there.

Whatever your goal is, whether it's to improve your flexibility, become stronger or change body shape, then you have to embark on a journey in order to see a long lasting change.

Don't expect things to happen overnight and don't expect an obstacle free path. Be prepared to make a commitment and keep working towards your motivation, your goal.

This is just a snippet of a series of sessions to get this far, with still a bit to go. We all have our own starting points, is it time to find yours and get going?
