🐴💛 Every journey with us is unique — because every person matters.
At Pathway Ponies, there’s no such thing as “one-size-fits-all.” Each of our clients comes with their own story, their own struggles, and their own special spark. And together with our gentle herd, we create a space where they can just be… themselves.
With her kind permission, this is a little glimpse into Chloe’s story — one that reminds us exactly why this work matters so deeply.
Chloe is an adult with a learning disability, physical disability, and PTSD. She’s faced challenges her whole life, but her greatest strength? She never gives up.
When her dad — her main carer and safe place — had a stroke, everything changed. Overnight, Chloe found herself facing a broken system that wasn’t ready to catch her. Promises were made and not kept. Help was delayed. And for seven long months, she waited for somewhere appropriate and safe to live.
💔 It was traumatising. And the truth is — no one should have to go through that.
But throughout everything, one thing has always brought comfort and stability for Chloe: the ponies.
For Chloe, our herd is a lifeline. It’s a place she can come where no one talks in policy, where she doesn’t fall through the gaps, and where she knows what’s coming next. For a while, the noise of the world fades, and she’s just Chloe — not a case number or care plan. She feels calm. Seen. Safe.
➡️ Without this space, Chloe’s mental health would deteriorate yet all she needs to thrive is consistency, kindness, and a few small, gentle hooves.
🌸 With the ponies, there is calm. There is connection. There is purpose.
💬 “Without the ponies,” she says, “I honestly don’t know how I’d cope.”
And she’s not alone. Every person who steps through our gate has their own reason for coming — whether it’s to rebuild confidence, regulate emotions, learn life skills, connect, or simply breathe. That’s the beauty of this space: it meets you where you are.
🌈 The healing, learning, and joy that happens here isn’t always loud — but it’s powerful. And often life-changing.
If you know someone who could benefit from a calm, caring, non-ridden equine experience like this, we’d love to welcome them. 🌿
Because everyone deserves a place where they can feel whole again. 🐴✨
Chloe has asked that I share her story in the comments below as well as her Go Fund Me page so that she can continue to attend whilst her funding is waiting to be reviewed ⬇️⬇️⬇️
