🌟 Staff Spotlight: Tracey Mordue 🌟
At Lakeside Care Home, we are proud to celebrate one of the true pillars of our community — Tracey Mordue. Tracey first joined the Lakeside family in September 1997, and nearly three decades later she remains an incredibly valued part of our home and our team.
Tracey began her journey with us as a part-time carer, quickly discovering a real passion for supporting residents. Her dedication and natural ability soon led to her promotion to Senior Carer, where she spent 18 years caring for residents on the second floor. During this time, Tracey continually developed her skills, completing her NVQs and undertaking a specialised three-month course in palliative care, ensuring she could provide the highest level of comfort, compassion, and dignity to those who needed it most.
Tracey is well known around Lakeside as a bit of a “Jack of all trades.” From providing outstanding care to stepping into the kitchen as Chef during staff holidays, there’s very little she hasn’t done to help keep things running smoothly!
Around 11 years ago, Tracey took on a new challenge when she became our Activities Coordinator — and since then she has completely transformed the social life of our home.
From arranging beautiful performances by violinists and harpists, to organising our much-loved summer parties and festive fetes, Tracey’s creativity and enthusiasm bring joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments to our residents every day.
When she isn’t busy brightening the days of our residents, Tracey is a devoted family woman. In the warmer months, she enjoys spending time relaxing and pottering around in her garden.
💬 “Tracey is loved by our residents and families alike. Her dedication, versatility, and warmth are a huge part of what makes Lakeside feel like home.”
From everyone at Lakeside — thank you, Tracey, for everything you do! 💙
