Crendon Farriers Ltd was established in 2007 by Daniel Harman. Daniel started his Farriery career in Buckinghamshire in 1991 when he began a 4 year 2 month apprenticeship with Farrier Carl Bettison A.W.C.F. Upon obtaining the Dip W.C.F (Diploma of the Worshipful Company of Farriers) examination in 1995 and gaining his place on the Register of Farriers he set up his own business. Daniel has been running a very successful and professional Farriery service ever since. In 2004, due to demand of work he became an Approved Training Farrier (ATF). He has successfully trained seven apprentices that have already qualified and is currently training three more. In April 2013 Daniel then became an A.W.C.F (Associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers) after successfully completing a series of higher examinations concentrating on therapeutic and remedial farriery. In doing this it has enabled him to attain the title of ‘Master Farrier’. In December 2017 Daniel was granted the freedom of the City of London and also became a ‘Liveryman’ of the Worshipful Company of Farriers. After two and a half years of studying, in May 2021 Daniel passed a Graduate Diploma in Equine Locomotor Research at the Royal Veterinary College.

📣 The Unshod Trim: Apprentice / ATF Day.

💯% of candidates who attended the last course went on to pass their unshod trim exam.

This practical day is for 3rd & 4th year apprentices preparing for their unshod trim exam. Apprentices will work on a live horse to practice & improve their trimming skills.

ATFs are encouraged to attend with their apprentices to watch the practical session and discuss the standard required to pass this part of the End Point Assessment.

Great day yesterday, starting with a master & apprentice shoe making competition. This led on to drinks and a delicious Thai meal followed by an after party with a 4am finish!!! Was great to welcome back some old members of our team. #2025

Thank you to all who attended the BFBA unshod trim standard setting day at . It was a great turnout that was really beneficial to the apprentices and training farriers.
