Full rim plastic frame reglazed.
Lindberg rimless with thin lenses.
Half rim (supra cord) frame with a high prescription, nicely polished edges though.

I really must make more of a habit with my postings. Here are a few examples of what we have been up to.
A frame converted to safety glasses with side shields and polycarbonate lenses.
Ladies plastic frame with high index (thin) varifocal lenses.
Standard gents frame with Zeiss lenses.

So what have Top Specs been up to over the past few months.
Well, we've had our own cloths made and supplied by the lovely people at Caseco and we have a new selection of ladies colourful plastic frames from Good Karma.

I had given my business posts a rest over the summer, just started to get back into it when my trip to the Isle of Mull took over. I was there to partake in the infamous Mull Rally but there was plenty of time too enjoy the island prior to the Rally.

We had a call on Friday from a customer who has now moved from Aylesbury to Wiltshire asking if we could put new lenses into his existing frame.
The establishment at which he had his sight test told him that it would cost more to have a "reglaze" than to have a new frame. That is certainly not the case if you have purchased a quality or designer frame but for many opticians it is more difficult and let's face it, they want to sell you a new one.
Top Specs have their own lab and the experience to offer this service at very little or no inconvenience to our customers; our aim is to help our customers achieve their wishes.

I know that I shouldn't mix business with politics but I just can't help myself and besides I'm not really nailing my colours to a mast, I'm just pointing out the bleeding obvious.
You will have heard that all but the very poorest of pensioners are to lose their Winter Fuel Allowance but why does it have to be like a switch, ON or OFF. Why can't it be tapered so that those who are just above the threshold get some of the allowance; it shouldn't be to difficult, the government have all of the figures.
Rant over but my rants could do with a tittle, any ideas?

Being away from the town centre has a few advantages, for instance, free parking for our customers but it has its downside. Passing trade and footfall have always been an issue at Duck Farm Court which means that we need to promote our business.
If you spot one of our advertising boards whilst in the town please share a photo with us and post on your social media to receive FREE GLAZING for your replacement lenses.

During the school holidays I have taken my own holiday, from business Facebook posts. I also took a look at using the Facebook App on my phone, I thought it might make life easier; maybe it does but I decided against giving access to all of my contacts or losing my current followers which seemed to be the options.
Despite taking a social media sabbatical we have been busy at Top Specs; enjoy this taster, we'll follow up with some details in the coming days.

Most of our customer and followers know who Top Specs are and what we can do but for everyone else, this is our strap line,

We have a fine selection of Frames but we can also put new Lenses into your own Frames.

Mirror tints are not for everyone but they do look good in a photo. These are also polarised and have been glazed at Top Specs into a Nike sports frame.
If you are in need of sun glasses for your trip abroad (let's face it, you don't need them in this country) then we have Rayban, Elle, Rudy Project and Wolf in stock. We are also able to put new lenses into your frames.
