Prescription Service Team – Temporary Changes to Opening Times commencing Thursday 30th April

Due to planned staff leave, our prescription service will have revised opening hours on some days.

The phone line and prescription hatch will be closed completely on:
• Thursday 30th April
• Friday 1 May
• Thursday 7 May
• Friday 8 May
• Thursday 14 May
• Friday 15 May

On the following days, our opening times will be limited:
Prescription Phone lines: 8:00am – 10:00am
Surgery Prescription hatch: 10:00am – 11:30am
• Tuesday 5 May
• Wednesday 6 May
• Monday 11 May
• Tuesday 12 May
• Wednesday 13 May

Please ensure you order your prescriptions in good time to avoid delays.

If you have an urgent query outside these hours, please contact the practice in the usual way.

Dr Andrea Roberts

Dr Andrea Roberts will be leaving her post at Poplar Grove Practice on Tuesday 28th April 2026.

While we’re sad to see her go, we wish her every happiness in this next chapter working at a practice closer to her home.

Dr Roberts has been a truly valued member of our team—professional, compassionate, and dedicated in everything she does. Over her time with us, she hasn’t just been a colleague, but a real part of our practice family. She has built wonderful relationships with both patients and staff, and her kindness, warmth, and commitment to care will be greatly missed by everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing her.

Patients assigned to Dr Roberts will be allocated a new doctor in due course and communication around this will follow.

We know many of you will want to join us in wishing her well, so please feel free to leave your messages below, we’ll make sure she receives them.

📣 🚘 ⛔️ADVANCED NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE ⛔️ 🚘 📣

We have been notified that there will be a closure of the ⛔️ A4157 Oakfield Road, specifically outside Lidl to the Kingsbrook crossroads both ways from Saturday 28th March for 3 weeks due to gas network repairs.

‼️We would advise any patients with scheduled appointments in the coming 3 weeks to allow more time for your journey to the practice and to those who would usually comute via Oakfield Road to find an alternative route‼️
