📣❗️SATURDAY 11TH OCTOBER – FLU VACCINE CLINIC ❗️📣

We will be running our flu vaccination 💉 clinic once again on Saturday. Thank you to all those who are already booked into the clinic, we look forward to seeing you ☺️

If you haven’t booked a flu vaccination and are eligible or have recieved an invite from us, we are welcoming patients to “drop-in” anytime between 9.30am and 12 noon on Saturday 11th October. ‼️You must be eligible, meaning you should fall into one of the following categories;
✅ pregnant
✅ over 65 years of age
✅ adults over 18 with long-term health conditions

If you’d like the reassurance of a booked appointment, please call the surgery today or tomorrow after 2pm on ☎️ 01296 468580 option 5 and we can pop your name down for a vaccination 🖊️

Our superstar team here early on this Saturday morning to vaccinate 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ “at risk” patients.

❗️Please remember❗️ this clinic is only for patients who have pre-booked. If you are at risk and haven’t yet booked your flu vaccination, we still have appointments available for next Saturday - 📅 11th October. Please call the practice on ☎️ 01296 468580 during the week to book.

📣 A reminder that COVID-19 winter boosters are not taking place here, but with our colleagues down at Oakfield Surgery. Those who are deemed “at risk” will be contacted by Oakfield Surgery to book their appointment.

Dates Affected: 📅 Wednesday 24th September to Friday 26th September 2025

Due to staff sickness, our dedicated Prescription Telephone Line and in-house Prescription Hatch will be closed today.

During this time, please order your medication using one of the following methods:
➡️ Via the NHS App
➡️ By posting a written request into the prescription boxes at the surgery

Please follow these important guidelines when ordering prescriptions:
➡️ Order your repeat prescription at least 1 week before you run out
➡️ Allow 5 full working days for us to process your prescription request
➡️ Only order what you need to avoid unnecessary waste

Winter brings increased demand for healthcare services, with many patients needing same-day urgent appointments. To make sure everyone gets the right care, in the right place, at the right time, we’ve made some changes to our appointment system starting October 2025.

Most appointments will now be available on the same day. If you're submitting an eConsult, please ensure you’re available that day in case an appointment is recommended.
• 🌐 Online Consultation First
The quickest and easiest way to access care is by completing our online consultation form:

Covid Autumn Vaccinations 🍂 💉

Covid Vaccinations will begin from early October at 📍 Oakfield Surgery. ‼️Please wait to be contacted by Oakfield Surgery to book your appointment‼️ The NHS will start to invite people in priority order of risk and those eligible will be able to book an appointment via a text message from Oakfield surgery or via the national booking service by calling 1️⃣1️⃣9️⃣.

‼️NATIONAL EMERGENCY ALERT TESTING‼️

On 📅 Sunday 7th September 2025 at 3pm the UK Government is testing the Emergency Alerts system.

The alert is used to warn of nearby dangers to life, including extreme weather ⛈️ All mobile phones will emit a loud siren 🚨 and vibrate - even if they are on silent 🤫 YOU WILL NOT NEED TO TAKE ACTION. However they could put victim-suvivors of domestic abuse at risk if relying on hidden phones.
