** NATIONAL NEWS: Bluebird Care Launches Nationwide Fundraising Mission For Alzheimer’s Society After Smashing 2024 Target **

Bluebird Care has begun a new UK-wide fundraising challenge for dementia, on the back of raising a staggering £67,000 for Alzheimer’s Society last year.

The national home care and live-in care provider has set out to once again raise at least £50,000 for the dementia charity, in support of their mission to create a world in which dementia no longer devastates lives.

As part of the fundraising partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, Bluebird Care’s 220 franchise partners and their teams are gearing up to achieve the same success through a national tapestry of individual fundraising missions.

There are a few key things to keep in mind to make sure you’re choosing the right one for your needs 👇

1️⃣ Body Size & Weight: Ensure the scooter supports your build for safe use.

2️⃣ Know Your Destination: Short trips, go for a Class 2, and for longer road usage, go for a Class 3.

3️⃣ Storage & Charging: Make sure you’ve got a dry, secure spot to store and charge it.

4️⃣ Road Readiness: Class 3 scooters require lights, mirrors, indicators, and a horn.

5️⃣ Test Before You Buy: Comfort and control matter, always try it out first.

Raising awareness of dementia is important to us! 💐

More and more people across the UK are being diagnosed with the condition, which is why it's important we work together to support those who live with it.

Did you know that we run FREE Dementia Friends sessions in our area for businesses, organisations and community groups 😊 🗒️ 🎈

Our Community Engagement Manager, Nathan Hartley, has created more than 100 dementia friends over the last 12 months - sharing useful information with anyone that attends our workshops!
