Today at Aston Manor, we celebrated Holi, the traditional Indian Festival of Colours🌈✨

It was a joyful afternoon filled with culture, conversation and community spirit. Residents learned about the meaning behind Holi, celebrating spring, new beginnings and togetherness, before getting involved in Gulal face painting using the vibrant powders that symbolise happiness and positivity. We also enjoyed some delicious Indian treats, adding even more flavour to a colourful day. 🧡

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the afternoon so special. Moments like these bring so much warmth and connection to life at Aston Manor.

A regular cosy cinema morning enjoying a classic film in our comfortable cinema room, with memories and conversations sparked along the way. Join us on the first Friday of every month for a trip down memory lane.

Dementia Friends Café ☕️
(Thursday 5th March, 9:30am – 11:00am)
A supportive space for carers, families, and individuals affected by dementia. Share experiences, access helpful resources, and connect with others who understand. Light refreshments provided. This is a regular event held on the first Thursday of every month.

Yesterday, residents at Aston Manor Care Home enjoyed a lovely group outing to Watermead. The day began with a stop at The Watermead Inn for a traditional pub lunch, rounded off perfectly with an ice cream sundae for dessert.

Afterwards, the group took a gentle stroll and spent some time feeding the ducks, making the most of the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. It was a wonderful day out, full of good food, conversation and simple pleasures shared together. 🧡🦆

🐟 Fish and Chip Friday is back tomorrow! 🍟

We are looking forward to welcoming our local community to Aston Manor tomorrow for our monthly Fish and Chip Friday!

From 12:00pm until 2:30pm, we are hosting a completely free event for local residents aged 55 and over. It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy delicious fish and chips on the house while sharing friendly conversation in a warm and welcoming space. 🧡

🌸 Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea at Aston Manor 🌸

We are delighted to invite you to join us for a special weekend of celebration on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. 🗓️

In aid of the wonderful Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, we’ll be hosting an elegant Afternoon Tea featuring a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes, and scones, all accompanied by the lovely sound of live music 🎶.

Concessions: £35 for adults and £15.50 for children.

Our residents have been making the most of some friendly competition during our recent sensory game sessions at Aston Manor. 🧠

These activities are brilliant for supporting cognitive skills, sharpening memory, and building confidence through active engagement — and it has been fantastic to see so many families coming in to take part in these sessions alongside our residents. Having everyone involved adds such a lovely sense of community and warmth to our sessions. 🧡

Today was all about our furry friends at Aston Manor! 🐾

To celebrate National Love Your Pet Day, we welcomed pets from the local community along with our residents' beloved family dogs for a day filled with treats and appreciation.

With so many wagging tails around the home, our residents spent a wonderful day enjoying cuddles and companionship. It’s been such a heart-warming day for everyone involved.

Thank you to our furry friends for the visit! You’re always welcome back. 🐶🧡

This rating reflects the care, attention and high standards our kitchen team bring to every meal, every day. From freshly prepared dishes cooked on site to maintaining excellent levels of cleanliness and food safety, it’s fantastic to see their hard work recognised.

Some lovely photos from our Valentine’s Day event at Aston Manor this past weekend 🧡

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a special day. It was wonderful to see residents, families and friends all coming together to celebrate.

We had plenty going on throughout the day, including a love heart treasure hunt around the home, Valentine’s card decorating, and live musical performances that had everyone singing along. There was even some beautiful ballroom dancing, and later on our cinema was showing a selection of romantic films to round off the celebrations.

It really was a day full of laughter, love and togetherness – exactly what Valentine’s Day is all about. 💕
