Spirituality means different things to different people. Whatever brings you hope, comfort, and meaning, our hospice team is here to support you.

Our Spiritual Care Team is available on the Inpatient Unit, at the Hospice Hub, and during bereavement drop-in sessions. Our ‘Olive Tree’ room is open 24/7, offering a peaceful, multi-faith space for quiet reflection and meditation.

If you would like support from your own religious community, we work closely with local clergy and faith leaders and can help arrange visits - at the hospice or in your home.

If you have any questions or would like to speak to our Spiritual Care Team, get in touch: fst@hokh.co.uk

Happy 10 year anniversary to our Parkwood shop!

10 years ago today, we opened a Our Parkwood charity shop. From our lovely Parkwood shop manager Lorraine:

"It's been a wonderful 10 years! I always enjoy welcoming new customers and chatting to those customers that pop in regularly. It's been especially rewarding working with all of our dedicated volunteers over the years. I love running the shop and raising funds for the hospice, as it's such an amazing charity."

Tracey (left) has been volunteering at our Parkwood shop for 10 years! The hospice looked after her nan and a good friend: "I just wanted to give back to the community."

Carole (right) has volunteered at our Parkwood shop for 10 years too!

Here's to another 10 years🥂

Mother’s Day is a time to remember, honour, and celebrate the love that never leaves us💐

This year, you can pay tribute to a special Mum, Nan, Aunt, Sister, or someone special by dedicating a handmade wooden heart that will be lovingly displayed on our tree here at the hospice.

Each heart represents a life remembered and a love that continues to grow within our community.

Your donation supports compassionate hospice care while creating a beautiful tribute in her memory.

Dedicate a heart today:

Heart of Kent Hospice had a visit from a very special bear! 🐻💛

Pudsey Bear delivered an incredible cheque for £87,502 from BBC Children in Need to fund our Family Support Group sessions, which help children and young people with loved ones living with a terminal illness.

Our Family Support Sessions provide a warm, welcoming and fun space where children and young people can gently get to know the hospice and feel supported during a difficult time.

Pudsey brought smiles and laughter to our Hospice Hub and Inpatient Unit, and even had a go on the brand-new PlayStation 5, purchased with the BBC Children in Need grant!🎮✨

Our Story

We were founded in 1991 and a year later celebrated our official opening with HRH Diana Princess of Wales. Since then we have expanded to offer patient and family support, a range of occupational and complimentary therapies, and a drop in centre, as well as our inpatient facilities.
