Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer our free ear clinic at Yaxham Village Hall on a Thursday. Sincere apologies, I know it has helped a lot of people since we started in May, and I have loved being within such a lovely friendly community.

I will still have a Thursday clinic in Honingham based at ProActive Therapies and will try to offer some quick ear checks from there.

💜What do you love most about your work? 💜

Without being a huge cliche, its the people!

I remember being told that people will remember you for how you made them feel, not what you did for them and I try to bring that to all my clinics.

Then you just get some absolute legends like these who you can just laugh along with (or at 😉) and make their life a little easier.

Thank you Fisher family :) I know I'm supposed to hope I don't see you again (because I don't want you to not hear) but I hope that I do....

📚 Qualifications, Memberships & Ongoing CPD 💼✨

I had a really interesting phone call today and the first question was about my qualifications and liability / insurance. They quite rightly wanted to know "what if something goes wrong"

I though I'd share todays certification, and tell you a bit about my memberships, so you know you are in good hands 👩‍⚕️

✅ Professional Memberships:
*️⃣Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) - who register all nurses in the UK
*️⃣Royal College of Nursing (RCN) - who produce guidance and are a trade union for healthcare workers
*️⃣British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG) - for nurses with an interest in Dermatology
*️⃣Primary Care Dermatology Society (PCDS) - support and educate non-dermatology specialists in all things Dermatology
*️⃣British Society for Audiology (BSA) - who produce the guidelines for best practice in earwax removal and earcare

🎓 Ongoing CPD & Training:
*️⃣Member of the International Dermoscopy Society (IDS) who educate clinicians and standardise dermoscopy practice.
*️⃣Member of the Aural Care Community of Interest group with the Academy for Healthcare Science - to support standards and guidelines in earwax removal
*️⃣Currently awaiting CQC assessment for registration
