St Michael’s Court care home is a 88 bedroom residential care, dementia care and nursing home situated in the small town of Aylsham, Norfolk.

This week has been full of creativity, relaxation, and joyful moments for our residents. 🎨🌿 We enjoyed our lovely runwood ramblers around our garden soaking up the sun and getting the fresh air in our lungs.⛅️
Many enjoyed spending time colouring, expressing themselves through beautiful patterns and colours. Alongside this, our craft sessions brought out plenty of imagination, with residents creating lovely handmade pieces and sharing smiles along the way.🌻🖍
In the garden, there was a wonderful sense of calm as residents got involved in planting and tending to the greenery. It’s always special to see everyone enjoying the fresh air and connecting with nature.☀️🌿🪻
One of the highlights of the week was a lovely piano session, where one of our gentlemen played for everyone in our lounge 🎹🎼

Feeling so lucky! ☀️ Such a gorgeous day at Eaton Park enjoying a picnic in the sunshine. 🧺 We came well-prepared with our flasks of tea and coffee—there's nothing better than a hot brew in the fresh air! ☕️

Celebrating the Life of Brigette 🤍

We were deeply honoured to be included by Brigette’s family in her celebration of life service.
Our Lifestyle Coordinator, Nikki, had the privilege of accompanying Brigette's best friend to the beautiful service alongside her family. Afterwards, many of our residents joined together at the Act Centre for a lovely afternoon tea to remember her.
We cannot thank Brigette's family enough for their kindness. They have also generously requested that any donations be made to our Residents' Amenities Fund. We are incredibly grateful for your support. 🙏✨

Then we got donated Brigette's gorgeous flowers, two of our ladies, done flower arrangements for the reception area.

Our residents this week have enjoyed our wonderful indoor gardening club 🌱 everyone chose from a variety of different vegetables and planted them all themselves. We also added in our own little scarecrows, houses and picket fences that our residents designed and made themselves 🌞 everyone loved this experience and are enjoying keeping an eye on the gardens in the hopes we will soon have our own vegetables sprouting 🥬🥕🫛🥦🫑

WOWZER! We had a successful Easter Sunday. We started off with a easter egg hunt, with the residents from the memory floor, then a fantastic trolly up on the nursing floor. Then the afternoon hot chocolates for everyone as many families joined us. So all the children came to enjoy a easter egg hunt. Most importantly the resident's enjoyed there quality time with there loved one's 😍

Treats all round this weekend! 🐣 From creamy hot chocolates to Nikki’s famous homemade coffee and walnut cake, our residents were well and truly spoilt on Saturday. ☕️🍰
It was the perfect start to our Easter celebrations, and we’re so happy that our Sunday event was such a hit with everyone! 🌷🐰

It’s all about balance here! 🧘‍♀️🧶 We’ve enjoyed everything from the social buzz of Knit & Natter to the quiet relaxation of our pamper sessions. Our fantastic Tuesday over at Orange Blossom Cafe, We also managed to squeeze in a fantastic trip to Taverham Garden Centre last week! 🌿

Our residents had a wonderful time getting 'Easter Ready' yesterday! 🐣 From creating beautiful flower arrangements for our reception area to various themed crafts, there was truly something for everyone to enjoy. Stop by and see our blooming lobby! 🌸✨ "

✨ "A delightful start to the week at our Monday coffee morning. Residents enjoyed singing along to hits from the 1960s while engaging in a variety of activities, from therapeutic colouring to word puzzles. A great morning of music and community spirit!" ✨

☀️On the warmest day last week☀️

We could enjoy the beautiful sunshine, and garden, we now getting some lovely bulb's blooming 💐
And as a group and relatives, we were chatting about our wonderful plan's for the upcoming summer month's.
