Today, we had the joy of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone — Joyce’s 103rd birthday! Turning 103 is an incredible achievement, and we’re so grateful to share this special day with her. What a wonderful morning we had reminiscing about hats, gloves, aftershaves, and perfumes!
We enjoyed looking through a lovely collection of items that sparked some great memories—and trying on a few stylish hats was especially fun! 🎩
Our singing group was filled with the classic sounds of Perry Como, Dean Martin, and of course, the legendary Frank Sinatra. 🎶

A Special Visitor: Honey

Today our wonderful Activities Lady, June, brought in a very special guest for the residents to meet – Honey, her daughter’s little dog. Honey is a sweet Chihuahua-Terrier who will be celebrating her 15th birthday next January.

Honey has a heart-warming story too – she was rescued by June’s daughter, Cathy, from the Dogs Trust, and has been a much-loved member of the family ever since.

The residents were delighted to meet Honey, who brought plenty of smiles, cuddles, and joy to everyone’s day. 🐾💛

Last week our residents had a busy and creative week!

🎨 Creative Crafts – Residents enjoyed making colourful patterns, which will be assembled into a larger piece of artwork for everyone to admire.

📚 Talks & Discussions – We explored the fascinating history of Norwich in an engaging group talk. A resident request led us to learn about the Terracotta Army, and we were all surprised to discover it was only unearthed in 1974!

🧠 Quiz Time – Our quiz sessions were filled with laughter and fun (not as serious as they sound!) with plenty of teamwork and smiles.

🎶 Music & Singing – Many residents joined our singing group, where we sang and listened to a wide variety of music, from the timeless classics of Elvis to the beauty of classical pieces.

It was a wonderful week of creativity, learning, and fun together!

What a glorious sunshine day yesterday for our boat trip with the Nancy Oldfield Trust. We left from Neatishead and had a boat trip round the broads. We even saw a bitten which is very rare on the broads.
Not forgetting having a lovely picnic as well
