Last weekend I attended Thetford Pride

It was Thetford first Pride but everyone was excited to celebrate the LGBTQAI+ community.

The acts and atmosphere was amazing and many people came and chatted to me and asked for relationship advice.

I also hosted a small tombola and helped raise some funds for the pride.

Looking forward to seeing it again next year!

I'm pleased to announce that Ness Cooper Therapy is now a corporate sponsor for Norfolk Wildlife Trust.

Spaces of Nature can offer many mental wellbeing benefits, and I'm glad I'm able to help support the area Norfolk Wildlife Trust manage.

Not only can being in nature help reduce stress responses to the day-to-day grind many of us find ourselves in, it can help release our own bodies natural antidepressant hormones.

Getting out into nature as a family or couples can lead to an increase in oxytocin too. This feel-good hormone is essential for us when it comes to connecting with others, and helps us form strong bonds with one another.

This weekend I attended Upper Sheringham Church, where a wedding exhibition was happening.

I was there to talk about couples therapy.

Did you know that I experience a large portion of people seeking couples therapy during their engagement or honeymoon.

Big relationship milestones can lead to all kinds of emotions and many unspoken conversations can arise from them.

I'm often helping couples through these.

Weddings can also be triggering for family members and at times family systems need to be explored.

It's ok seeking support during these times, as it's a big event in your life.

Hot tubs don't protect you against STDs.

In fact hot tubs can lead to a higher chance of fissures, due to the water and chemicals leading to skin dryness.

The chemicals used (sometimes essential oils) can also lead to inflammation of the urethra and even UTIs

If using condoms, hot tubs can increase the risk of them breaking too.

What are the deep questions you ask your partner?

Here's one that many have:

“These questions are invitations to see each other more clearly, to reconnect and to deepen the kind of love that keeps evolving.”

For those experiencing reoccurring BV may find reinfection reduces greatly when intimate partners also receive treatment.

BV often linked to women's sexual health (afab), is now being seen as something that can affect those of all genders.

Microbiome research has led to clues into why BV happens and treatment options.

Untreated BV can result in pelvic inflammation, fertility issues, and even lower libido.

It can affect confidence in the bedroom too and be a barrier to connection.

This new research will hopefully help many.

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is not classified as a sexually transmitted infection, but the results of a new study could change that. Evidence shows that BV occurs in men, and Australian researchers say that treating both partners could help lower high BV recurrence rates in women.
