📢 Exciting News for Carers Across South Ayrshire!
We’re delighted to share the next step in how we support unpaid carers across South Ayrshire. In partnership with Connect South Ayrshire and South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, we are developing a network of local Carer Hubs making it easier than ever for carers to find us closer to where they live, work and learn.
The Carer Hubs will provide all the same support, information and services that carers currently access, but offering welcoming physical spaces within local communities where carers can drop in, connect and receive support.
📍 Here’s what’s coming up:
Maybole Carers Hub opens Wednesday 25th February
Prestwick Carers Hub opens Friday 13th March
Ayr Carers Hub is expanding from next week, we will be available all day every Monday and Friday afternoon at Connect on Sandgate.
In addition to our regular Carers Groups, in Girvan, we’re launching a New Girvan Carers Group to complement the existing weekly drop-in
We’re also proud to share that our Young Carers services are now embedded in every academy across South Ayrshire and Primary Schools by appointment. The response has been fantastic, we are reaching and supporting more carers than ever before.
This new hub model means we can be more visible, more accessible and more connected to the communities we serve ensuring carers receive the right support, in the right place, at the right time.
