A Day in the Life of a Repatriation Transfer 🌍
Repatriation work is one of the most unique and rewarding parts of what we do. Behind every journey is a family waiting, a patient needing support, and a huge amount of planning to get them home safely.
From the moment a referral comes in, our Control Room gets to work, coordinating with overseas hospitals, medical assistance companies, insurance providers, and air ambulance teams. We gather medical reports, confirm clinical clearance, plan travel routes, manage ferry or Eurotunnel bookings, and ensure everything runs safely and smoothly from start to finish.
Our repatriation crews handle everything from airport collections to long-distance European road transfers. They provide continuous care throughout the journey, reassurance at every stage, and a seamless handover back into UK healthcare on arrival.
Whether it’s bringing someone home from Europe or transferring a patient across the UK, our focus is simple: safe travel, exceptional care, and a calm, compassionate experience during one of the most stressful moments for families.
Another example of why we’re proud to do what we do. ❤️🚑
