We had a lovely visit to Dundonald Castle this week to drop off their visuals ☺️🏰

Dundonald Castle does lots of amazing community work with numerous groups happening every week, so we were delighted to provide some visual labelling for their ‘What’s On’ board to ensure it is accessible and inclusive for everyone 💜

Castle and cafe communication boards are also available behind the front desk - please just ask if you need one ☺️

🥰 BUDDY TRAINING 🥰

Claire has loved delivering ‘Buddy Training’ with the P7 classes at Glenburn Primary.

These interactive sessions equip pupils with key strategies to use with their P1 Buddy to support their speech, language and communication skills.

Pupils took part in quizzes, played communication games and practised the ‘face to face’ strategy by getting down to Buddy Bear’s level 🧸 The highlight was using a range of toys & games to think of short comments and ‘I wonder…’ questions that they could use when playing with their Buddy - Pop-Up Pirate and bubbles were clear favourites! 🫧☺️

Pupils then visited P1 to practice using the strategies with their Buddies - it was super to see their skills in action whilst reading with their Buddies 🥰📚

Well done Team Glenburn! 💙👏
