I want to share our AMAZING news with you all. After a 3 day unannounced inspection from the Care Inspectorate we received feedback tonight that all our grades have been changed to a 4 in all areas and the 9 Areas For Improvement have all been met ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would like to say a million thank yous to everyone that took the time to come into our home and give feedback to our CI all the residents, families, staff and external professionals that shared their stories I cannot express how grateful I am. Most of all I want to thank the most amazing team of staff that I have the pleasure of working alongside that have given our residents and families the most outstanding care, love and support. I am so so proud of Team Fairknowe …….. Well Done Guys ⭐ I think we should have a party to celebrate this amazing achievement …… The report should be out next week so I will share with everyone. I’m just bursting with pride for the whole team

We had a lovely visit from our pet therapy dog Roccet 🐶💛

Such a calm, gentle and friendly boy, who was so well behaved throughout his visit. He brought lots of smiles and plenty of love to our residents.

There was no shortage of cuddles, and the residents really enjoyed rewarding his good behaviour with a few well-earned treats 🦴✨

We can’t wait to welcome Roccet back again soon 🐾💕

Just want to take a wee moment to appreciate Jilly’s wonderful work of art again, our Spring Wreath is now pride of place on our front door, featuring our amazing Nurse Marshall. Think we can all agree she has Marshall hair to perfection !!! Thank you so much Jilly 🩷 ###

Our residents absolutely loved having a visit from the local nursery 💛

The wonderful children had such a lovely time joining us for arts and crafts, decorating Easter cards, creating a beautiful birthday card for our special birthday girl Agnes, and presenting her with flowers 🌸

They also performed their adorable song Sleeping Bunnies, which brought so many smiles, and kindly gave their artwork to the residents. The children then enjoyed a wee Easter hunt while our residents watched on, clearly delighted by the joy and excitement on their faces 🐣

A truly heartwarming visit for everyone involved, we can’t wait to welcome them back again soon!

✨ Happy Birthday Agnes ✨

Agnes has had such a lovely day celebrating her special birthday 🥰

Her day started with a beautiful visit from the local school children, who came in to sing Happy Birthday and presented her with birthday flowers and a card 💐🎶 Such a special moment that brought lots of smiles.

After lunch, Agnes created this gorgeous floral display, which you can now enjoy at the entrance of the home 🌸🌿

And of course… cake and treats are still to come 🎂✨

We would really appreciate your help 🙏

Our raffle tickets have been selling well, which is amazing – thank you so much to everyone who has supported us so far! However, we are still looking for a few more donations before we draw the raffle.

It doesn’t have to cost much at all, every little helps. Some ideas could be:
🎁 An unwanted gift
🍾 A bottle of wine or spirits
🧴 Toiletries or pamper items
🐾 A voucher for a service (e.g. dog walking, baking, etc.)
💇‍♀️ A small business voucher or treatment
🎟️ Anything you think someone else would love

If you have anything you’d be happy to donate, we would be so grateful.

Janet has also now registered her gorgeous dog Roccet as a pet therapy dog, which is just wonderful. The residents absolutely loved their visit from him, and it’s safe to say Roccet loved meeting all of our lovely residents just as much!

We’re already looking forward to welcoming both Janet and Roccet back again soon 🐾💛
