We are so chuffed - we have 2 spaces to give away to our Movement Workshop on Sunday 26th April from 2pm - 4pm at My Yoga Place, Ayr!!!
Chuffed because people are so kind and that a medical professional heard about our workshop and saw it's value.
So, please share this far and wide and with anyone that you think might benefit from coming to this workshop to get their confidence back with exercise.
This 2-hour workshop offers a supportive, education-led space to explore exercise and movement alongside a yoga teacher and a physiotherapist, for people who want to move but feel unsure, cautious, or lacking confidence.
You might find this helpful if you’re asking yourself questions like:
• Can I exercise with this knee, back, or joint issue?
• How do I adapt movements so they work for my body?
• What’s the difference between discomfort and doing damage?
• Why do some movements flare things up while others help?
• How do I get back into exercise without making things worse?
Many people find themselves in a gap between treatment and everyday exercise. They’re no longer in rehabilitation, but standard classes still don’t feel accessible or appropriate. This workshop is designed to sit in that space.
Across the session, a yoga teacher and a physiotherapist will:
• Address common fears and misunderstandings around pain, discomfort, and structural change
• Explore how movement can be adapted rather than avoided
• Create space for questions, discussion, and shared understanding
• Empower participants to build confidence in making their own choices about movement and sensations
This is not a treatment session, diagnosis, or exercise prescription.
It’s an educational, supportive space to explore movement with clarity rather than fear.
You’ll leave with:
• Greater confidence around exercise and movement
• A clearer framework for making decisions about how and when to move
• Practical ideas you can apply in classes, at home, or in the gym
• Reassurance that movement doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing
Movement Workshop is calm, inclusive, and focused on understanding rather than pushing. No prior fitness level is required, and all movement is optional.
Spaces will be limited so there is time for discussion and questions.
