Katie’s Celtic Wish Comes True

When Katie added her wish to the Forbes House Wishing Tree, there was only ever going to be one choice, to see her beloved Celtic play live.

With the support of the whole Forbes team, that wish became reality. And it didn’t stop there; Katie has already been back to matches, with more trips planned.

This is exactly what the Wishing Tree is all about: creating moments that last. Well done to everyone at Forbes House for making it happen!

As soon as Katie placed her wish on the tree, the Forbes team set to work. With everyone from management, activities and care staff all pulling together, it wasn’t long before she had tickets to see Celtic face Newcastle at Celtic Park.

🪩ABBA Party🪩

We had a fantastic time at our ABBA Themed Party on Saturday🕺

Everyone had a great time singing and dancing along to ABBAs greatest hits🎶

We even had some incredible performances from our residents using our new karaoke machine🎤💕

🍰Great Forbes Bake Off🍰

We had an amazing week leading up to the Forbes Bake Off! We came up with the idea of making Octopus/Turtle Cupcakes🐙🐢

On the day of the Bake Off, we all gathered in the Café to judge and taste all the delicious treats made by our amazing staff!

Our Octopus Cupcakes ended up winning the 'Most Creative Design' and we can't wait to go up to Costa Coffee as our Prize🥰

Forbes House looking to make dreams a reality 🌳

In partnership with local community group Ucan, each of our four units now has its own handmade wishing tree, ready for residents to pin their hopes, dreams and ideas ✨

The wishes are already rolling in, and we can’t wait to see which ones we can help make a reality 💫

🌞 Want to soak up some sunshine? Settle into our stylish café bar and take in the lovely views of our gardens.
🎨 Feeling creative or sociable? Explore our new activity areas, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

🔥 Staff Brave the Burn for Resident Comfort Fund🔥

Three of our Ayrshire homes turned up the heat with a Hot Ones Challenge , all in aid of their residents Comfort Funds!

Each brave participant faced 10 rounds of wings, starting mild and climbing to off the Scoville scale. The catch? No drinks allowed for a full minute after each wing! 😳🌶️🥵

There were a few tap-outs, lots of sweating, and plenty of milk on standby – but we also had some fearless finishers (and maybe a few lost tastebuds).

The Comfort Fund helps us create special experiences for our residents – from days out to in-home entertainment and thoughtful extras that make a real difference.

Huge thanks to everyone who took part, cheered on, or donated. You brought the heat for a great cause!🌟💜
