Blue's Journey Blue fought mesothelioma for 19 months. He led a happy, active life even through chemo. He was my friend, my sidekick, my soul mate and a very goid boy.

He is missed.

Blue is free to collie where ever he wants now. On leaving the village to go scatter Blue there was a whole rainbow, then a smaller one at the beach and on the way home. Left one of Blue's favourite balls and went away a bit and watched as a gentleman walking a lovely brown dog found it and walked down the beach playing happily.
If any of you visit Barassie beach please say hello.
Nothing will ever be the same.

Blue went peacefully to sleep at 4.50 on Thursday the 13th of February. He had a walk, cake, some nice meat and then at the vets bacon sizzlers and a bar of chocolate then chicken. He fell asleep with me holding him and then he lowered his head onto my knee. He looked at peace.
A big thanks you to all at Crossriggs Veterinary Clinic for their care and compassion and for the wonderful care and love they gave Blue.

Blue is having a quiet day today. His breathing is fast but i know that's not going to get better. He is enjoying little plays, and he cleared his plate.

I wish I was writing a different post. It's Blue's gotcha day today, he's going to have sirlon steak for tea and do what ever he wants today and over the weekend.
Sadly the cancer has spread to his lungs and abdomen. He's on pain relief and will eat nice food. He'll have little plays and hugs are still much loved. Blue will be making his final journey next week and take a huge part of me with him. My side kick, my soul mate, my friend.

Yesterday's life saving hospital trip.

Yesterday Blue's breathing was shallow and rapid, a rush up to the animal hospital resulted in them draining over half a litre of fluid from his chest. The fluid was very dark and has been sent for analysis as well as him having bloods done etc. He's feeling a good bit better today.
