Good morning on this sunny Monday.
So i’ve got another poem i’d like to share from Feb 1992.
The Rainbow
The sun is shining brightly
As i look up to the sky
Then the rain begins to fall
And i start to wonder why
Who can make a thing of such beauty
Like the one that’s caught my eye?
It’s a rainbow i am seeing
And God’s the reason why.
He uses all the colours
From the people of our world
Then blends them altogether
Hand in hand, every boy and girl
As i look closely at the rainbow
I can’t believe i can see
The white light appear before me
We’re all pure spirit, you and me.

So i’ve been going through my stuff and found a few poems i wrote back in the 90s, so thought i’d post some on here, i hope you like them and they help someone somehow somewhere.
Healing Prayers
I’m lying still in the darkness
As my room is filled with love
The candle flame sways gently
I watch the shadows dance above
It’s time to send out all my prayers
For my family and friends old and new
I humbly ask for love and peace
To be sent down to this world
For all the sick and hungry
Who are suffering oh so much
I ask a special blessing
Great spirit heal with your loving touch.
Amen

THE 3 TYPES OF PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE:

1. The Leaf people
2. The Branch people
3. The Root people

LEAF PEOPLE:
These are people who come into your life just for a season. You can't depend on them because they are weak. They only come to take what they want, but if the wind comes they will leave.

You need to be careful of these people because they love you when things are okay, but when the wind comes they will leave you

BRANCH PEOPLE:
They are strong, but you need to be careful with them too. They break away when life becomes tough and they can't handle too much weight. They may stay with you in some seasons, but they will go when it becomes harder 😢

ROOT PEOPLE: These people are very important because they don't do things to be seen. They are supportive even if you go through a difficult time they will water you and they are not moved by your position they just love you like that ...
It's not all people you meet or are your friends, that will stay with you.

Only the root type of people will stay no matter the season.

“I counted my years and found that I have less time to live from here on than I have lived up to now.

I feel like that child who won a packet of sweets: he ate the first with pleasure, but when he realized that there were few left, he began to enjoy them intensely.

I no longer have time for endless meetings where statutes, rules, procedures and internal regulations are discussed, knowing that nothing will be achieved.

I no longer have time to support the absurd people who, despite their chronological age, haven't grown up.

My time is too short:

I want the essence, my soul is in a hurry.

I don't have many sweets in the package anymore.

I want to live next to human people, very human, who know how to laugh at their mistakes, and who are not inflated by their triumphs, and who take on their responsibilities.

Thus human dignity is defended and we move towards truth and honesty.

It is the essential that makes life worth living.

I want to surround myself with people who know how to touch hearts, people who have been taught by the hard blows of life to grow with gentle touches of the soul.

Yes, I'm in a hurry, I'm in a hurry to live with the intensity that only maturity can give.

I don't intend to waste any of the leftover sweets.

I am sure they will be delicious, much more than what I have eaten so far.

My goal is to reach the end satisfied
and at peace with my loved ones
and my conscience.

We have two lives.

And the second begins when you realize you only have one.
