Find a Tick? Remove it quick.

Ticks can be removed at home with fine tipped tweezers, or a tick removal tool. The chance of getting ill is low. You do not need to do anything else unless you notice a rash or become unwell with flu-like symptoms.

Thank you to those of you who attended the NHS workshop, we hope you found it informative.

For those of you who couldn’t make it, don’t worry, you can still download the NHS app and download or collect an online access form from the surgery/surgery website. If you are a carer or have children, you can also collect a proxy access form from the surgery/surgery website and with the permission of the patient, access their medical records to make appointments, order repeat prescriptions etc.

Thank you to those of you who attended our very successful CPR event last November. We received some great feedback.

Our next event is in May and will be on ‘How to use the NHS App’. If you have any questions regarding the App you would like answers to, please feel free to comment below and we will do our best to cover these in our presentation.

Lightwater Surgery are looking for a motivated, reliable and flexible person to join our team of administrators and receptionists. The hours available are 23.5 per week.
You must be organised, be able to multi task, work under pressure, pay attention to detail and have excellent IT skills as well as communication skills.

You will need to be organised and be able to prioritise. Your computer skills must be exemplary with accurate data entry and meticulous attention to detail.

Duties will include filing and coding clinical information onto patient’s records.

As a receptionist you will to assist with the daily running of reception including dealing with patients and assisting colleagues and health care professionals. The duties required will include answering the telephone, assisting patients at the front desk booking and cancelling appointments, and giving test results where appropriate.
