Lightwater Surgery have a wide range of clinicians who can help our patients. We strive to direct our patients to the clinician most suited to their concern, this will not always be a GP based at Lightwater Surgery.
This may be using self-care advice gained from the NHS website or visiting local pharmacies for minor ailments as they are able to prescribe certain medications directly to patients.
Following national changes to the GP contract, Lightwater Surgery is able to offer additional appointments with our wider team of Independent Prescribers, Advanced Care Practitioners, Paediatric Nurse Specialists and Paramedics who work with us from the Camberley Health Centre building. These practitioners work with all of the surgeries in Surrey Heath to increase the availability of Same Day Urgent Care appointments as well as evening and Saturday appointments.
On contacting the surgery via telephone, in person or using our online tool ‘Rapid Health’, available through our website, you will be assigned an appointment with the most appropriate healthcare professional. This may be with our team of GPs and trainee GPs, our Clinical Pharmacist, our First Contact Physiotherapist, or our wider team of independent prescribers based at the Camberley Health Centre building.
Please help us to manage the demand for healthcare, and keep GP workload at safe levels, by using the correct service and accepting the appointment offered to you by our reception team.
